Okay... that wasn't the question. The question was if anyone's got Halo working on a Rage 128. If so, I could use some help as to get it up and running. Any suggestions would be great. Please, comments like, "get a radeon 9600 for 70 bucks" isn't helpful. I don't have 70 bucks.

Thanks,

Jason

Not all cards work. Friekin Coylter wannabe. I would highly suggest you check out this guide at TweakTown to make sure your comp is running at maximum efficiency. Admitingly enough, a gpu upgrade would be a wise choice, but if you wanna have a go, follow this guide. Make sure you have the newest drivers, and that nothing is running in the background. The guide Ive givin you is 100% A OK for doing, as long as you follow the steps precisely. And you dont HAVE to reformat your drive, just skip that part.

"Halo requires a minimum of 32 megabytes (MB) of video memory and a chipset that supports Hardware Transform and Lighting."

That's straight from one of Microsoft's many knowledge base articles regarding Halo. If you do your homework, you might be able to answer your own question. My guess is that you won't get this thing to work with Halo. Are you getting any error messages when you start up? I think you should be...

Just FYI, if you did manage to get something like this to run Halo, it would completely, utterly, and without-a-doubt destroy your Halo experience, as the graphics would be blocky, undetailed, and your performance would likely be miserable.

Your video card is basically just an inexpensive heater. You'll be lucky if you can play anything made this century.

yeah man i got a ati rage 128 pro ...... and its -blam!- up so i got to keep the resolution at its lowest for my pc to work. i get an error saying that my video driver is having serious problems with halo.....ect. it sucks soooo much but plays games like red alert 2 and midtown madness fine. dude u have to face it... get an new card like me im getting a radeon 9600 xt. thats should be ok . or u could just return the game and wait for halo 2 to -blam!- out (if it does on pc) then get gd graphics card cos if u buy one thats worse than a 9800 it will be crap in 2 years.
