About me: I am a vicious wolf of a man.

But really am sweet at heart. =)

War. It's very existence shows that no species simply welcomes change. What some might see as a step to enlightenment, others see as wanton destruction. That's the funny thing about life in general I suppose. We don't accept things as is.

Vice Admiral Preston Cole,
From UNSC Everest on March 2nd 2542, 1 month before his fateful encounter in the Psi Serpantis system.

...

August 30th 2552.

In the dead cold of the void the remains of Reach;Humanity's main defense against the Covenant was lifeless.Ten years ago a defense was held against it...and failed The still surface shimmered from the light of Epsilon Erindi. The planet would never support life again.
In orbit hundreds of UNSC and Covenant ships sat motionless. But this "battle" was different. Neither plasma torpedo bays, nor MAC guns flared. Instead there was peace, and all eyes, cameras, and were focused on one spot above it's northern pole.
When the planet was first conquered ten years ago. The hulls of the destroyed ships were pushed here and melted. Now after the efforts of 2 years of work. The new Peace Station was about to be dedicated. It was 10 million tons of the combined work of UNSC and Sangheili engineers. It would be one of many central trading hubs between the two races.

In the Command center, the now weak Admiral Terrence Hood, and the Arbiter Thel Vadam stood before the army...of cameras. Hood turned slowly to the cameras as they began rolling. The faint whirr of the levitating fans keeping them aloft.

"Today, we begin a new era for Humanity...and for the Sangheili. We have striven many years for peace, and indeed peace has come. But a a high price. Billions on both sides died in this conflict. Now we stand together to give hope to both races...and the entire galaxy. To the men and women in our Defense Force. I am Proud of you all." Hood turned away with tears in his eyes.
Vadam then stepped forward to the shock of many. He was known for action. Not speeches.

"The Sangheili fought humanity for years for no purpose. We thought humans were lesser beings, nothing more. Now after fighting along side you. I am honored to be the Sangheili to usher in a new era of peace and pore. And I am proud to call the Fleet Admiral my friend."

With that the two men, both figureheads in the people's eyes opened the station. Thousands of docking portals opened. Crews of freighters:Sangheili and Human ships began touching for non-violent purposes for one of the first times in recorded history.

Military Ships began returning to their patrol routes. Space docks returned to refitting UNSC ships with advanced Forerunner and Sangheili shields and technology.

But in every heart, from Earth to Sangheilious something had been gained. Change was coming.

But, like all organics. There are those who disagree.

Well. That's it so far. I be posting new stuff regularly. Not all chapters will be like this. This is just the Intro. We will be following a very special team in the coming posts. Hopefully it will be better than a generic "Spartan 4 team" idea.

The Razor.

For the honour of the Mirratord.

Not bad so far. The story is interesting.

However, you need to make sure that you make this post-Halo 3 story stand out. There are a lot of stories like this, and you need to give this story something different from the rest.

I would suggest that you go into the tensions between the Humans and the Elites, because if two races who had been fighting for twenty years suddenly came together and became allies, both sides would not be happy. There would be a deep feeling of distrust and possibly rebellion on both sides. If you explore this, it will make it relatively unique and add some depth in the process.

Also, it would help if you described the surroundings, people and their thoughts a lot more. It will make it longer and much more interesting to read.

But, your spelling and grammar is good, as is your sentence structure. I am assuming that this is your first fan fiction, and it is a good first attempt. Keep up the effort :)

But the Elites are a honor bound race, so their alliance with the Humans should be pretty strong. Maybe have the Flood as an antagonist? They really haven't been a primary enemy and it would be interesting to focus on them as the sole enemy.

It's pretty good though, are you going to keep writing it on this thread?

Yes. Later tonight I will post a new update. This will be a prototype. I will revise old chapters as I see fit. There will still be very high tensions between Elites and Humanity on a 1 to 1 level. But the commanders of both races are personal friends. and the Squad that is about to be created in the story is trying to change public opinion about the alliance in general.

I am trying to set up strong feelings and places ahead of time because I hope for this to be the first of a 3 part trilogy.

Chapter 1

UNSC Point of No Return
October 8th 2562.
In far orbit around 2nd moon of Sangheilios

The door to "Odin's Eye" whispered open. This secure room had been the backdrop for the planning of dozens of operations that had changed the war. Now it was being used again.
Vice Admiral Ned Rich: The replacement for the frail Parangosky entered first. Followed by Rear Admiral Gibson. Then two strangers to the room entered.
Fleet Master Toro Aldvan'ee: Commander of all Sangheili ground forces. Followed by Spec Ops Field Master Se'rah, Toren'am. The only female Sangheili to hold such a position.

Finally. The man who had paraded these unsung heroes in the space. Lieutenant Commander Daniel Ackerson: Son of the late Colonel. He spoke first.

"Admirals."The two Sangheili looked oddly at him."And Field Masters, Thank you for agreeing to meet with me."he finished nervously.

Gibson spoke up first,"Let's get down to business Commander, why have you called us here?"

"Sir,"Ackerson began his presentation on the holographic monitors around the room."As you people know, we are in terrible ground side warfare with the Covenant Remnant on more than 5 planets. They also continue to produce ships, and while the latter can be destroyed relatively easily by new weaponry. The sheer numbers are over whelming. Also, public opinion between the new Sangheili-Human Alliance hasn't been as high as projected. Both species think it is a waste. Some even think war should continue."

"I'll agree with that,"commented Rich,"This bloody fighting is getting out of hand. Hell, we have more MPs on these damn trading hubs than in the front!"

"And what idea do you have Commander, that could turn the scales?" Asked Toren'am.

"I believe that the Admirals passed the problem about twenty years ago."

Gibson burst out."What the Spartan-III program? That idea was a war crime from the start! How are suicide missions going to raise morale?"

"If you will check page 17 of your document reader Admiral your questions will be answered."Daniel beamed.

"Of course," said Aldan'vee,"A combined co-species unit trained and augmented could boost morale and work together to push out the Brutes."

"Well, I'm for it!"concluded Rich as he took a swill from his whisky.

"As am I."

"Same."

"Agreed."

Replies echoed around the metal space. Gibson told the Commander.

"I'll forward you a list of possible canidates for augmentation, Human and-"he looked to see both the Spec Ops Master and Field Master were gone,"Elites, damn Sangigiwhati is hard to say. Did you have a place picked out for the training?"

"Yes sir I did." he replied.

"Well we'll get you what ever you need, just submit a request and you'll get it."said Gibson as he left the room.

Daniel turned and sat down. Sweat dripping down the back of his uniform. He had done it. His father would have been proud...would he? He turned to the screen and looked at the canidates for Project:Goliath. Over 200:both species.
He switched pages to potential trainers and selected one. Spartan-055:Daniel.

Well that's the 1st real chapter right there. Its choppy I know. but I just wanted to get it up. The beginning of Project Goliath! What is it? Well that would ruin teh surpize
