I feel like the campaign was good, but not great. I think they could have done a lot better and I think they think that too. I know a lot of people who just got ODST for the Halo 3 maps and I'm sure Bungie anticipated that. Halo Reach BETA.... I have ODST and I have friends that dont and friends that dont even play Halo. When BETA comes out I am going to play it and invite all those friends over because they are extremely curious. If its good enough I can expect people to go out and buy ODST just for the BETA and then when BETA is done they will play the Halo 3 Mutliplayer and go "hey maybe I was wrong about halo all along." then they will go out and buy the halo games to experience it all. When Reach comes out it will be probably one of the highest anticipated games ever. I feel like ODST was made just as a way of getting more money out of current Halo fans and then as a launching point for REACH. I'm not trying to make Bungie seem bad... I think Bungie is briliant.

play nice or may the banhammer fall upon the!

yes, as with everything Bungie releases Bungie does intend to make money off of it. BUT, that doesn't mkae ODST any less of a game. Yes it was a short campaign, but a good one. I liked it. Countless hours are to be had playing in firefight, and the maps + Reach Beta are extra things just for you. No, ODST is not a full stand-alone game. It was a fun little way to keep people entertained until Reach.

Pioneer and Enthusiast for Halo 3.

Tha game known as ODST was (I agree) poorly made, and Bungie knows it could have been better. Not many like it, and Im one of those people. Today, I have beaten the campaign on Legendary. It's actually a lot funner on harder difficulties for some strange reason. Granted, ODST is not nearly as fun as Halo CE or Halo 2 or even Halo 3 for that matter, but it's still a great game. The game features Firefight, which is pretty much the main reason why people have bought the game next to all the free maps.

So yes, Firefight and the maps we're awesome! However, campaign is coming along and actually is something I am starting to like.
