Why do people in ship mutinies always ask for "better treatment"? I'd ask for a pinball machine, because with all that rocking back and forth, you'd get a lot of free games.
Maybe in order to understand mankind, we have to look at the word itself: "Mankind". Basically, it's made up of two separate words - "mank" and "ind". What do these words mean? It's a mystery, and that's why so is mankind.

Hello, fellow Elitists.
We share a special bond, united by our knowledge that we, as a group, are better than others. We come here to bathe in a sense of self-satisfaction that only being an Elitist - capitalisation is important, I think, when referring to a group so lofty (haughty?) as ours - and being in the company of Elitists can confer. But I think we can improve; I think we can do more.
I'd like to start this post by outlining what we do well:
1. Trolling. Many, if not most, if not all, of us have received short bans - spanks, if you will - for trolling the dull-witted masses. These actions reinforce our dominance and superiority, and are especially profound when coupled with;
2. Forum copping. One minute we're demonstrating our knowledge of the boards while simultaneously showing up inexperienced members, the next we're subtly trolling. Keeping the dim herd on its toes.
3. Superior sneering - supeneering - in public. Yes, brothers, elitism must be practiced outside the realm of Bungie.net for it to truly be distilled when required.
4. Making Long Posts About the State of the Community (or similar). We have a few seasoned veterans of this hobby among us, and its one that takes quite a bit of effort - at least for the first one, then you can really just copy and paste every few months. As long as you're a Mythic Member, these will always get 100+ posts. This brings me on to my last point;
5. Posting in the Septagon. If we didn't, no-one would. We know the simple-minded lower classes only post to see our shiny bars and the occasional moderator.
These are all excellent contributions to our elitist and self-satisfied demeanour; I believe, however, that we should not rest on our laurels. I have tried it, and they are not comfortable. We need to push further, we need to alienate more members more of the time.
As a second point, I feel our status is being usurped by... newcomers. Members of the lower orders who have attained Mythic status while being quite devoid of any reasonable character normally associated with it! As time goes on, more and more members will reach their grasping hands into our ranks, polluting our once-chaste atmosphere with their txt spk and... nouveau mythe.
I propose an elegant solution to both problems - discrimination by an extra factor! As an old English commoner's poem goes, 'Once is for c***s, twice is nice, but thricer is nicer... er!'. Why discriminate on one condition when you can choose two, or three?
At risk as I am of overreaching in my tenacity, I suggest one criteria to start. Not join date - for there can be ties, and none are truly equal!
Member IDs.
Hover your cursor over a member's name in a thread and look at the URL to see their memberID. I propose a heirarchy whereby expansion of value is linked to decrease in favour among us. So myself (~14k) and elmicker (~25k) may get along, and we may even invite Skibur (~49k) to parties (provided he brought a wine of acceptable caliber). The three of us might bear to be seen with Primo84 at ~500k, but all four of us would only expect king nikki, at ~2M, to come near us if our shoes needed a spit-polish.
Of course, Mythics are Mythics, and should be allowed here. But some friendly banter, keeping the newer additions in their place can't hurt, can it? Or at least, it can't hurt the people that matter. Like me and you. But not you or you.
Get away from me.

Not elitists? Really?
He is taking your views on mythic members and using it as satire to further create interest in his post.
