I couldn't find this topic anywhere (perhaps I haven't looked hard enough) but I was watching the making of halo documentary on my halo disc and I noticed it mentioned something about Miranda strapping a grenade to Master Chief's back. Now I am assuming this is something perhaps that will happen in Halo 2 but then again I was wondering if this was mentioned somewhere, such as in the novels. If so could someone tell me which novel, if any, and perhaps elaborate a bit more on Miranda.

There is no one named Miranda in the Books. Poeple speculated before that Miranda is someone at Bungie.

Joe Statan was talking about Jason Jones, when he was coming up with ideas for Halo 2. He was going through a hard break-up. So I guess he was upset and he wrote that down as one.

In my opinion, Miranda simply can't be part of the Halo 2 story. That's because if we find out in the second or third level that a Miranda exists, we would already know that she is going to betray us. Bungie would never just give away a plot twist like that. So, in my opinion, ya, it has to do with Jason Jones's breakup or something.

She Could Be one of the Spartians that was to far away to join in on the POA's mission to capture a Covenant battle ship. plus straping a gernade to his back does not make that gernade automaticly armed she could have just taped a frag gernade to John's back for him to use later.

No, because in the document, they said "There's that horrible scene of betrayal, where Miranda straps a bomb to the Master Chief's back, and shoves him down a hole." I believe those are the exact words.

There are many theories floating around Miranda, so I'll give you the most accepted one. Maranda is one of the three Swords in Saxon (or is it in the King Arthur?) legend. Now there are three "great" swords in total, Durandal, Cortana, and Miranda. So, with this information some speculate that Miranda is AI because of her affiliation with the Durandal and Cortana swords.

-Long story short

I bought the halo edition of the xbox and the halo game that came with it had the single plaayer e3 demo as well as the original trailer of Master Chief "sky diving" as well as the making of Halo documentary.

As for everyone else, thanks for your responses I appreciate it.

Me: "OMFG, Dude... wtf!"
AbolitionofMan: "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to betray you."
Me: "That's the 4th time in this game alone!"
Chris: "Third, besides he had the flag I was trying to stop him, how was I supposed to know you were there."
Me: "I said, 'I got the Flag, don't shoot.'"
Chris: "Well those Wraith shots take a while to reach you."
Me: "You were right next to me, I had killed him and a minute passed before you decided to shoot."
Chris: "Hahahahaha, yeah... that was great."

Banshee... in all my research I have never come across that name as the 3rd Sword. I have always seen Joyeuse. Though... I would not put it past Bungie.
