Here's a few:
1. Gametype: Free for All Slayer (set limit to 50)
Players: Any amount (because its FFA)
Map: Quite small maps (Hang 'Em High, Wizard, Derelict, Chill out)
Player settings: 200% health and shields on. Set lives to only 5!
Game Settings: Motion Tracker on/off (your choice)
Weapon Settings: Take your pick (Rockets only makes a really fast game)
2. Gametype: Team King of The Hill (stationary hill and max. time)
Players: Even (odd for a handicap for one team)
Map: Medium sized maps (range from Hang 'Em High to Blood Gulch)
Player settings: 400% health with no shields
Game Settings: Your choice on MT, Team indicators off (adds to the fun!), Objective indicator on
Weapon Settings: Your choice (Normal or Human only is probably best)
3. Gametype: Free for All Oddball (1/2 the amount of players and max. time)
Players: Even (a must)
Map: Any rrelatively small maps (Hang 'Em High, Prisoner, Derelict, Chill out)
Player settings: 100% health with shields (without ball = normal, with = faster)
Game Settings: Objective indicator on (no hiding!)
Weapon Settings: No Sniping
Here are summaries on the 3 gametypes:
1. This is a really quick game that ends before it really starts (warm-up suggested beforehand). People think a lot harder when they have only 5 lives. Winner is the person left standing.
2. This KotH is great. Everyone knows where the hill is (objective indicator) and it stays there; its just asking for trouble. Take off friend indicators to spice it up even more; I'd make sure you tell your teammates before entering the hill.
3. This Oddball rules. From the planning you'll realise that once the balls are in motion, half will be running while half are stalking. Put the objective indicator on so there's no hiding, you just have to run (the advantage you have).
