your shield ARE your health now

once ur shields are down you have 2-3 shots until you die, or so the people that played zanzibar said.....

im suprised about the limited information that there seems to be on the new shield system, considering so many people have played zanzibar.....

i heard that there are no longer health packs, but you stay alive for the same amount of time, its just that ur health bar has been completely replaced by a shield bar that just lasts longer to account for the loss of the health bar

I wonder if there will be overshields. How would that work with no health?
BTW...
Spartans are elite soldiers and have quite enough stamina to last a while.(Read the books!)

well they are the special forces in the human race, so shields and armor would protect em from alot of plasma shots and stuff. I can expect that if my shield is out that my armor will take in some of the shots before I die, which gives me more time to kill you.

Do you actually think that after doubling your shield power if its possible to triple it? Im just wondering. But i dont think so.

I like the old ones better but these ones are coo it wont take long to figure out how many shots it will take to kill you after you sheild is down I know it will take only one head shot from the BR. Im surprised noone is talking about the armor damage. I heard that your armor will show damage but none of the reviews of the demo talked about it, atleast none of the ones I read.

NVM about the os. i still think that the new hud needs to show some sort of health. that way there won't be as much whining over live about people being owned.

The reviews from the two teams who won the Mt. Dew contest said a little about the shields. Including the lack of a health bar and health packs. The shields are stronger and one on one encounters seem to last longer now. The health thing isn't gonna be a problem, it forces you to move forward instead of backing up for a health pack. Also, melee range has been reduced quite a bit, so you have to be literally toe to toe with your opponent to land a punch (with exception for the energy sword). That'll make for some very interesting boxing matches

i think people might be MORE cheap, if you thought people camped a lot during Halo 1 online to recharge their shields think about how many people are going to do it now when their shields are COMPLETLY their life now?

I agree, I'm pretty sure I don't like not having health on up there...just isn't right. I like that they're taking two steps forward in multiplayer, but it seems they're taking an unnecessary step backwards...
