Every time I read something that I think is the stupidest thing ever and something can't replace it, something manages to replace it.

I mean, even though the xbox orinal is loesing about to have all its live enabled games cut, which I can appreciate. The fans on halo 2 PC have never had as much attention from Bungie.

We don't have the dedicated stat pages.

We do seem to have a very glitchy port of an awesome game.

And now the original xbox crowed are getting a unique "somthing" in halo reach just for playing on the 14th?

Come on Bungie! We love you too!

an awesome game.

You must be referring to the first Halo when you said that, as nobody with an IQ over 80 would think Halo 2 is an "awesome game."

Come on, credit where credit is due. Halo 2 was revalutionary to online consol gameplay. Not to mention that some hold it as having the better story of the three main halo titles, disreguarding the cliff hanger ending... So it is an awesome game and to say otherwise is incorrect. What I am trying to get across is that the vista prot is of less quality and support than the consol version ever was! But this may soon chage, i.e. tommrow. 15/4/10.

Yeah. That's right. I don't have a 50 in H3. I never got Onyx in Reach. If a game sucks too much, I won't even bother trying for such trivial "accolades". Besides, I've done way more things that take far more skill and talent than anything that can be done in a video game.

Something smells fishy...

Most likely Bungie will never make another PC game. It has shifted its focus to the XBOX 360 gaming universe. Personally I believe Bungie puts a lot of work into creating XBOX 360 games, more work than any of its PC games received in the past.

Thus fans of Halo PC games are left to fend for themselves. I don't believe Bungie will ever pay too much attention to its PC games. But don't get me wrong here I don't approve of Bungie's actions. Leaving devoted PC gamers abandoned without support or recognition is entirely unforgivable.

Bungie made a terrible mistake producing Halo 2 Vista. It is a very flawed game. Many people have numerous problems with it. Also it has a limited amount of times the product key can be used (something like ten). This is a great inconvenience. Halo Combat Evolved PC has an unlimited amount of product key usages as do many other PC games. Microsoft's affiliation with Bungie probably has something to do with the limited amount of product key usages.

As much as I love Halo I am greatly saddened that Bungie has not and cannot make a decent PC game that has constant provided support.

Yes, I am a hypocrite, and I'm sorry. I really do mean well, but I'm not running on all cylinders.

Everytime someone buys a copy of Halo 2 Vista, a puppy dies.

I don't know what the folks at Bungie are doing, but hearing zero feedback about all the problems with Halo 2 Vista gives me BAD feelings. Not taking any responsibility for the game, or even going out of their way to make any comment on the epidemic of problems really makes me lose respect for them. I do know that all the grief the name Halo now brings to mind has prevented me from buying ODST and Reach. I'm sure as more of the Xbox crowd shells out for H2V, the media will notice what Microsoft and Bungie have done to computer gamers.

Halo 2 Vista is very much retarded, by taking out, or not including:

netcoding
absolute crap, nothing new there.

100% EK, with all Stock tags
wow, look how many maps are released compared to Halo 1 CE, thanks a bunch, dumb-blam!-s

Online Co-op
so we hear about Halo 3 co-op, what about H2V?
H2V devs are more -blam!- up than the modders
who made H2X Online Co-op mod.

Split-screen
er...whats wrong with this?
I bet it was hard for so called veterans.

Support all resolutions
added via updates
and Valve supports all 4:3, 16:9 and 16:10.

Custom map images
removed via a downgrading update
what? worried someone might make a map image of pr0n,
just as you guys made a picture of your ass?

Custom map limit
WTF! this is a PC game! whats with the 50 map limit?
If H2X's UI was modified to have more than 1000 why is H2V limited?

New gametypes
what was the point of porting Halo 2? huh?
slayer, assault, ctf, koth, territories, oddball, juggernaut.
so is this all we get. ='(

Windows XP gamers
how very genius of you, to OS Lock

and apparently, the game was so horribly ported,
it can't handle it's own game browser,
it gets overloaded and kills your fps.

Can you guys believe how improved Splitscreen gaming was for Halo 3?
other players could actually join, while ingame. omg :O

There should be a law that forces companies to have a internet voting booth for us to decide the fate of the game.
to include, or not to include.

This was Bungie's 2nd chance at a better Halo 2, and they failed.
and I hope alot of h2x users buy h2v, so Bungie and M$ can be insulted by the media.

another thing to notice, I hope the dxbx emulator becomes compatible with xbox games soon.

This is the average H2 Fanboy.
Xfire: JacobGRocks.
50 in H2/H3? Great, but you still fail at this.

Bungie didn't even make h2v. Hired Gun, part of MSGS did. And the key limit is thanks to gfwl, aka epic fail. People have had their keys linked to deleted accounts in newer games for example.

Also, bungie linked to the h2v site and h2v forums, both of which are dead.

Bungie owns the Halo IP, they made the decisions for HiredGun.
Bungie clearly stated they were behind most if not all design decisions.

so, with their ignorant design decisions
and a team who are terrible at coding, they give birth to death port.

We can blame Bungie, and M$ together.

Bungie don't own the I.P.

The bungie.net community is the halo PC community that is renowned for being unbelieveably sucky.

Microsoft owns Halo. Bungie could have done it on their own, but instead they sold out to Microsoft and the rest is history. They sell rated M games to kids.

Bungie don't own the I.P.
but they can be blamed too.

Tell me more about this Hired Gun team within Microsoft Game Studios.

"Hired Gun" is the codename for a recently-created team within MGS. Their first task is to bring Halo 2 to the Windows Vista platform, with support from Bungie Studios...

Bungie has no where to hide

halo 2 still the best game in the series. long live halo 2.

Dam, I miss the old days playing halo 2 with my old brothers in arms. Thank you my old friends for giving me this account, I shall continue our legacy.

Take the initiative and lobby Bungie, Microsoft, or Hired Gun to make the fixes.

What makes you think they would listen or care? Plus how would one go about convincing a company like Bungie or Microsoft to develop such fixes? It is likely Bungie and Microsoft already know about the many issues revolving around Halo 2 Vista.

They know and stopped supporting the game a long time ago. Any support now is basically just to keep the awful GFWL interface working with the game.

Grenades are like RAM, you can never have too much

Bungie is helping Hired Gun with design decisions and quality assurance.
Halo 2 for Windows Vista will include all twenty-one maps from Halo 2 and the Halo 2 Multiplayer Map Pack.

why hast thou forsaken us

That changed with the release of Windows 7.
PC gaming has yet to gain the attention it deserves, especially from Bungie. and Microsoft.

I get lower frame rates on Vista and 7 so I use XP. Also more input lag with vsync. :(

A Halo 2 Glitch Master, "retired" since i couldn't find anything good in Halo 3, hoping for a come back. I'm a huge Marathon fan too. If you want to verse me, please message me through my Bungie.net profile.
My weapon of choice is the warthog (Driving); I'm one of the best drivers out there, so if i get my hand on a vehicle, you're going to wish i hadn't XD

April 20th I became one of the final 30 people to play Halo 2 online. Unfortunately I was kicked by Microsoft that day.

wow! you guys are negative! Halo 2 PC is a good game, i guess those things could be considered bad, but alot fo those i've never had problems with. The only reason it's not totally supported is because bungie doesnt directly port their own games to the pc, but that's it. Halo 2 PC is great cause it's like Halo custom edition but for halo 2

Halo 3's Forge has more customization than the H2EK,
does alot of object placements,
while the H2EK mainly creates bsps.
