"I can accept failure, everyone fails at something, but I can't accept not trying." - M. Jordan

In fall of reach the spartans enter a Covanant ship, and they talk about if there is a alien as tall as thier ceillings on the ship. Does anyone think that there is a covanant that is like gigantic?

I would love to see a huge creature in Halo (am I the only person who like seroius Sam?). But thinking about it again HUGE really isn't Halos style, but just to make my previous statements pointless I think what ever they do I'll be happy.

What about Sam? Are you refering to Sam 034 that died on the ship in the part I am talking about.

Interesting idea in a Starship Troopers kinda way, but not so sure of it in practice with the Covenant. For as alien as they are, they are still just a regular army in how they operate, and as such having just one guy super big isn't really that good a unit other than to draw fire. If if thats what they want they could just role up with some Wraiths.

Nah, just the game where you shoot things about 80 times the size of you, it gives an epic yet unrealistic feel to the game. This is seroius Sam

Naw, you're second-guessing yourself, whereas I think that's a good connection you made there. Yeah, there's going to be a mondo alien in H2--one that dwarfs a Hunter. Look, it's confirmed there's one that can flip a warthog, which would be a meaningless statement if it merely meant a warthog already overturned or otherwise stationary. No, it's gotta be able to flip MOVING warthogs. In contrast, in H1 you don't even have to bother with shooting Hunters--you can run them over why they jump around like ninnies.

The creature from The Fall of Reach that your thinking of is just a Hunter, because if they were to stand up straight they are 12 feet tall, and thats about how high their ceilings are. The reason they dont call them Hunters there is because they didnt know about them. If you remember when Master Chief and his team of Spartans were in the museum at Cote d'Azur, that was the very first time they saw a Hunter, so they didnt know what that creature was on the ship because they didnt know about the Hunter at that time.

But yes, there will be some Covenant (or other creature not part of the Covenant) that is a lot bigger than Hunters. It can flip a Warthog, and when I say that I mean a moving one, not stationary.

Hmm, I don't know whether the big creature is the "Brute", but if I had to guess it probably isn't. When watching the Halo 2 Gameplay movie the Brutes while looking a little more intimidating and err... hairy didn't look like they could flip around a worthog. My guess is this, you see flood mimck the form of hunters.

Kind of aggrivating, I think. I liked the fact that HALO did not have 'bosses' or whatever. But tehre is some newfangled Alien, they had to redo the damage stacking system or somehting. I read aobut it in an update.

I think the alien you are talking about is the possible leader alien that you can see in the avatars, it looks like a form of a prophet. My bet is you probably have to fight one of these creatures in a big room, almost as a boss fight, but lets hope there will be no type of godly "boss" that you will have to run around shooting rockets and high powered rifles at, I mean this isn't contra lol.

Flood can't take over the bodies of Hunters. If so, we would have seen that in the original Halo, and in the books it says that Hunters' bodies are too radiated to be infected.

Hmm, then they will probably mimick the form of brutes, either way, there is alot of people not reading the books so i think we can survive without getting that.... technical. :)

gah! didn't anybody else read this but me?!?

ok lets get this straight, there is a new creature that is huge and can flip a worthog with ease. another thing about this creature is that it has been explained to be spider-like (w00t!)

Most of us know that H2 shouldn't have boss battles, but a few of those huge guys may make for an epic encounter. THAT'S what H2 needs. More epic encounters. Frankie coined that phrase for me.

I don't know if a Hunter could flip a warthog in Halo 1, but I think so. (They send shades flying when they melee them by mistake...)

True! Ever played through the AotCR or rockslide megabattles? Fun as hell, if Halo 2 were made up by that stuff, they're gonna kill me of addiction.

It doesn't have to be a boss! Maybe the alien is just big? I'm thinking like a spider-xenomorph (SP?) from the Alien series...you blow away some elite only to see the big spider speeding across the wall at you!

Perhaps these aliens could be in a labor caste, and not regular Covenant army...

I doubt theyll be like Rancors.
I think that the creatures will be rogues, with no real alliance. Sometimes they pop out of nowhere or something.

Oh, but wait. I was talking to a JoyRide employee at The '04 ComicCon, and they said the creature was Covenant.
