Okay guys, here's the thing.

I don't really like Halo 2 on the Xbox, mostly because of the increased auto-aim, bullet magnetism, etc.

But from what I've heard, PC games don't have nearly as much magnetism and auto-aim because of the mouse and keyboard.

Is this true for Halo 2? What else is different from the Xbox version? Is it worth getting?

Something smells fishy...

Do not get Halo 2 Vista. It has a lot of issues. It really is not worth the money or the time.

I didn't like Halo 2 Vista because for one there's like almost no one playing online (I mean no one). There are a ton of empty servers also.

There is some sort of bug involving Games for Windows Live that makes all of the available servers in the multiplayer portal disappear. In my experience I had to play the campaign for about twenty minutes for the servers to appear again.

If you're looking for a good Halo PC multiplayer experience get Halo Combat Evolved PC. There continues to be many devoted players day in and day out.

The bungie.net community is the halo PC community that is renowned for being unbelieveably sucky.

The auto aim and crap is even worse on the PC version...but you only get it when using a controller. The mouse and keyboard controls are totally FUBAR. The game is awful for multiplayer. The campaign is fun, but the sloppy controls make it annoying. Most people here will tell you to avoid buying the game.

Yes, I am a hypocrite, and I'm sorry. I really do mean well, but I'm not running on all cylinders.

Everytime someone buys a copy of Halo 2 Vista, a puppy dies.

Like me. It's a waste of money and time. Don't lower yourself.

Halo 3 is better than Reach

Xbox Live: iSupremacyX
Xbox Connect: Cold_Achilles
XFire: redmeany
Steam: coldachilles

the point of games is to have fun. When you play games, you hopefully have fun.

halo 2 pc = fun. I don't understand how you couldn't have fun.
Besides, more people need to buy the game and make the community larger. Especially since Xbox live halo 2's online is dead tomorrow.

And to the post above, why would he want a lower tier version of the game just to play single player?

I don't have fun when I can't even control the -blam!- game, while everyone else with mid-range hardware has no problem. It's like I'm being punished for investing money into a gaming computer.

thing is, about emulation is, Online play can be remade.

Halo 2 PC = crap.
Halo 2 Xbox = Fun.

want to know why?
Halo 2 Xbox had mods, these mods were better than Halo 2 Vista's custom maps and hacks.

If they patch it, my faith will be restored. I've been using GNU/Linux for a while now and I kind of miss Windows.

I agree with this guy, Halo 2 Vista is as good as if not better than Halo 2.

I think the only way we are gonna get a patch is if we get more people to play halo 2 vista. microsoft avoids fixing the issues, because it would cost them money and halo 2 is not bring in any money. im not saying i feel this is right for microsoft to not fix it. technicly i bet they would make more money if they fixed it but thats just an opion.

Yeah. That's right. I don't have a 50 in H3. I never got Onyx in Reach. If a game sucks too much, I won't even bother trying for such trivial "accolades". Besides, I've done way more things that take far more skill and talent than anything that can be done in a video game.

Not gonna happen. Most people who have a PC that can run the game are smart enough to know what a good PC game is, and smart enough to know that H2V just aint it.
