Why does it have to be so soon? Why? Most of us are devastated, our baby has been taken from us, yes I said it, "Our baby". This will be the last time I'll ever play Terminal with more than 4 people in my Party, or any map for that matter.

Do you guys feel the same way?

By the power of truth, I, while living, have conquered the universe.

It's truly the end of what has been an amazing era. And whilst the song of Halo 2 draws to a close, we must find comfort in the future... It won't be the same, but it's good enough.

RIP Halo 2.

You better get it together, Marine or the Chief'll reach down and pull you inside out by your -blameable-. And that'll be a sweet, sweet mercy. . . compared to what I'm gonna do to you.

I am sad about Halo 2's death but it's demise has enabled me to think and care about it again. As terrible as it is for me to say this Halo 2 is sort of like a good friend being in a comma. You care about him but when other friends are still around after 3 years of hanging with them (other friends = Halo 3) you start to forget about the old friend. If the old friend was never going to be revived out of his comma wouldn't it be good if they passed away so you could finally give them a proper farewell and honor the life they did have.

No... It will be the best day Halo 2 will ever experience! All the gamers will get together, celebrating and saying a fair well to a once great era. It was truly great. Everyone will play the game like they've never played before.
The true horrible day will be April 15th... All those thousands of people playing this classic, disappeared.

All the great moments and memories we've had in halo 2, they'll never be forgotten.

I just wish they put Halo 2's multiplayer unto the Xbox Live Arcade. It would be a good thing for the fans, and being a halo title, it would make millions!!!! M$, please at least do that!!!!!

50 in H2/H3? Great, but you still fail at this.

Just get this
Then you can play halo 2 on live. Also, it works on 7 too.

April 15 will be a dark dark day indeed.

If Obi Wan Kenobi was disturbed when Dantooine was destroyed, just imagine the disturbance this event will cause in the force. Thousand and Thousands of happy gamers, celebrating halo 2, will be suddenly stripped of their joy and sent to a blue screen.

...the last blue screen any of us will ever see! *whimper*

ehh... I won't be able to play until the blue screen, sadly. I have a paper and two tests due Thursday.

No rest for the mourners.

Wayne Jarvis, Attorney at Law; I have a responsibility to tell you that there is no candy in this office.

Don't mourn the loss of Halo 2, rather rejoice that such a game existed for as long as it did.

I won't ever forget the memories and amount of time I dedicated to this game out of pure enjoyment. If I make it as a programmer out of college, particularly in games, I will honor this game as much as I can when I make code.

Damn, this sucks. All this just so a few people can have over 100 "friends."

RIP Halo 2. We loved you.

This.

I woke up this morning literally unsettled when I remembered today was my last day to rock Halo 2. This game was sincerely my childhood. I started playing Halo CE when I was 7, then picked up Halo 2 at age 10 and hit the ground running (or falling, if my -2K/D ratio from that era says anything xD).

My late brother had just started college when the game came out, so really the only time we got to hang/talk was when he came home from uni and played Halo 2 with me. I can't really remember anything in specific (except for that I sucked) about the time we put in, but I do remember that the Halo 2 years were probably the best of my childhood.

Halo 2 taught me how to work co-cooperatively, how to think on the fly, and how sometimes you just need to keep your mouth shut, particularly if you sound like a five year old boy. This game honestly made the original Xbox- Halo 2 and its predecessor made the Sony naysayers eat their own feet. So even if you weren't a fan of Halo 2 then, even if you're not a fan of Halo 2 now, at least play today to send her off with a bang. I think she at the very least deserves that.
