All your stories inspired me to make a proper goodbye to Halo2:
As a Spartan sees the sun set on his world,
He tells his friends of his past glory
Every bomb planted in Big Team Battle,
left this Spartan more than rattled,
All those killer matches of Slayer,
glaring at matchmaking "Finding players..."
The battles fought, the corpses humped
flying higher than the highest super jump
To the enemy base, in warthogs his team is rollin'
"Wait, who's on defense?" "FLAG STOLEN!"
A blue screen mid-battle! Anger ensues, patience dying
everyone rages, "THEY'RE STANDBYING!"
His teammates are dead, the odds are slanted
he grits his teeth,
"BOMB ARMED! BOMB PLANTED!"
Territories, Oddball, King of the Hill
Looking back now, they were all a thrill
Exploring new maps the day they came out,
glitching out of them was what it was all about,
A mysterious death when he was on a Killing Spree,
"WHO ARE THE GUARDIANS, AND WHY DID THEY KILL ME?!"
His time left dwindling, he views his old friend list, rekindling
The rivals he made, now long gone,
in his heart, they will forever respawn
The friends he made, lost in time
in his heart, they are forever online
and as the Spartan feels lonely, his friends give him mighty high fives,
"You forgot the best part. All those times, we were right there with you on Xbox Live!"
