Subject: Sign something here in Halo 2's "Funeral Booklet"

Before Halo 2, I had a lot of hobbies. I was a huge player of Magic: The Gathering (Mirrodin block FTW). I played D&D every Thursday. I was also a drug abusing Junior High Schooler when it came out. I loved Halo 1 and was very eagerly anticipating the sequel.

Then it came.

I had no idea just how much of my life Halo 2 would take over. I quit all of those prior things just to play it, I loved it so. And play it I did.

I was still playing it regularly when I graduated High School. When I started college, I was prepared to kind of sit in the back of the class and keep to myself. Then I made friends playing Halo 2 in the lounge. We played it constantly. After class every day, Halo 2. Every Saturday, Halo 2 at someone's house. We played, and we played, and we played.

We waited in line for Halo 3 with all of our recently acquired 360's waiting at home. When we got it though, something changed. We didn't play it nearly as much. We moved on to other games and such. It just wasn't the same. Now, while we are all still great friends, we just don't play as much together anymore (mostly because we're all over 21 now and really just get drunk together).

Even looking back, I don't consider 2 the best in the series (I'd even say it's probably the one I'd rank the lowest in terms of quality). I even prefer 3's MP. But 2 was a turning point for me. I loved it so, and I will always have those memories.

Between Halo 2 and SC: CT, I'm getting all teary-eyed just thinking about the true end of an era. It's about time I picked those up on PC then, huh.

RIP XB1 Live, especially Halo 2.

I hardly knew her. I played for a little online, about 500 games before Halo 3 came out, and they were fun but not the best that I've ever encountered. But I went back on tonight and it just struck me as I was saying goodbye to my friends that that was the last time I'd be saying goodbye on that game. I exited the menu and just sat at the main menu and listened to the music for a moment and realized just how much I'd miss not being able to play it anymore.

I'll miss it like I'd miss this site if it went away.

Halo 2... the first M rated game I ever played in middle school when I went over my friends house. Just hearing the narrators little phrases brings back so many good memories! I never owned Halo 2 though. I borrowed it from a friend just a few days ago because I new we didnt have much time. We were reunited once again for the 1st time in years ever since I had betrayed its trust with Halo 3. But Halo 2 was so refreshing! The maps were simple and amazing! And the gameplay in so many aspects were equal if not better than halo 3. OH I WISH WE HAD MORE TIME!!!! OHH THE HUMANITY!!!!!!!!!!!!! Halo 2 I hardly knew thee.

The beta is super awesome. RogueAssassin27 is now the person who got my Totodile's nickname. Hoo-hah! Relevant.inb4lock

I never even got to play with you...

Thank you Halo 2, my first online first person shooter. I actually never played online that much, but it introduced me to the games I play now. I will never forget the friends I met online when I first started playing, which are still my friends now. And I will never forget the countless split screen matches between my brothers and I and the LAN parties I used to play at before Halo 3. Well, I guess I can still do that, but it somehow won't be the same.

Rest in peace, Halo 2.

tonight I am reliving all my favorite halo 2 custom games like, cat and mouse, tremors, zombies, warthog wars, troy, phantom pistols on waterworks, dual needlers on lock out and many more. I used to love spending hours playing these games. and hide and seek gets my honorable mention although I am not playing it tonight. So good bye halo 2, i spent the best years of high school playing you

If you build it, I can destroy it.

I have been hooked since the beginning...

I remember pre-ordering Halo 2, the steel case edition. My friend spent the night and we beat the co-op that night. I think we finished somewhere between 3 and 6 in the morning. I remember the irritating feeling when I saw the ending... and realized that it wasn't and ending.

Good bye to the good ol' days.

I'm done. And I am actually shedding some tears right now. No game or book or story has ever made me do that before. I feel content with my night and yet... I wish it didn't have to end. I made the most of the time I had, but I can't help but wish for more time.
I am actually that sad right now. I've never felt this way before with things like this...

Missed again?

Dear Halo 2. I never really knew you all that well. I first found you a while in to Halo 3's release. I really wish I could have been a part of it when you were very popular before Halo 3. I will never really know about what I missed but R.I.P, anyway.

Not the one that introduced me to the halo universe, but the one that made me fall in "love" of the multiplayer side of things

MISTER SONIC!!!

Well... I never thought I'd see the day this would come. It was a nice long run but I guess its time for it to come to a close. Yea, I know about XBc and Halo 2 Vista, but it just wont feel the same... Anyways! I'm going to miss being the biggest target on the field, instantly dying whenever somebody picked up a sniper, or just hearing my elite let out a loud BLLARRRGGG after each death.

And then theres the good ol Terminal train! I'll never forget the countless hours I spent purposley taking the wraith and placing it on the tracks just to watch it get destroyed by an insane train.

Goodbye Xbox Live Halo 2! Wort wort wort!

P.S. I actually teared up while teabaging some merry soul on Coagulation. I just hope we get a TRUE remake of it someday...
