Great Scott!

Halo 2, the reason I bought my Xbox.
Halo 2, how I found out about B.net.
Halo 2, my entertainment for a few good years.
Halo 2, my safe haven.
Halo 2, I miss you.

Dear Halo 2,

I'm sorry I left you for Halo 3 and never came back to you. I miss you so much, and now that I have been spending more time with you I realize what I left behind those years ago. You made me a better gamer, and I thank you for that. Ever since I started seeing Halo 3 I became a worse player. It really tore me apart, down to my limbs. I'm not the same as I used to be; I think slower, act slower, and forget to BXB and BXR. I'm going to miss you now that you are leaving, though I know you will be in a better place. You'll always be in my heart.

Love you always,
A Loyal Fan.

you cannot compare Halo 3 to Reach, Reach is not a game, its a disc in a plastic green case called pure fail.

Got it? good.

Halo 2: your Magnum + SMG combo is great fun to use lol

  • 04.14.2010 10:49 PM PDT

There is to much to say about such great game. I will just leave it at this thanks to all of the memories you have given me, and the halo community. You will be missed.

TRIFORCE

RIP Halo 2

And thus ends a giant chapter of my life. With beheld tears I slowly turn my xbox off and reflect back on the nerd memories that I will remember for the rest of my life. Although I may have left with an obscure bunch, I left with dignity (being the best in my last game) and with pride.

Till the sorrow's gone, Halo 2 will not be be won, again by the hands of mine.

Long live Halo 2.

Halo 2...While I didn't know you as long as others, I felt we had a connection. You had one of the best campaigns I have ever played. I can T-bag players faster on you than any other game. Words cannot express my sorrow for your leaving. So long, and thanks for all the fish.

  • 04.14.2010 10:58 PM PDT

Do you fear Death?

-You were my first love.

Woke up at 06:00 AM (GMT+1) for some final matchmaking.
Sad to say that it is now really over for me but it was fun. Had a great time online and on LAN parties.
Once again thank you Bungie for creating this awesome game. Can't wait for Reach now but Halo 2 will always be one of my favorite games.

If the last user online would turn of the light :), thanks.

Wielding a double-bladed chainsaw, wearing a potato sack on your head and spinning around mindlessly is amiably quick at getting anything done

To Halo 2:

I enjoyed your campaign when I first got the game but at the time I didn't have Xbox Live. When I finally did in 2006 you gave the most fun and memorable online experience I ever had and we played together for a whole gloriously frag-fested year.

But then your new little brother Halo 3 came along and promised more to which he delivered.

Having tonight for the first time in 3 years (well 2.5 years really) I thought "why not hang out with Halo 2 for a bit?". And although I didn't play that many games due to parenthood, they were the most fun filled hours I had once more (Gaming wise).

Halo 2, you are something special and I am sad to see you go more than I would be sad for Halo 3 (He's good but you are far better) and I regret not hanging out with you before until now.

Please forgive me Halo 2. *crys*

Your old friend,

Dragoonrunner

How's that? :P

You've made happy, you've made me sad, you've even made me cry.

Your campaign is awesome, your matchmaking is even better.

I wish i could say more, but I've only known you for a short while.

For all the things you have given me, I'll miss you.

Halo: Combat Evolved

Turf was my fa map, only "urban warfare" in the game. Coagulation was a terrible successor of blood gulch. Spent endless hours playing on LIVE with my friend. Heres to loosing a great game, but looking forward to Reach!

  • 04.14.2010 11:16 PM PDT

Buckle Up: It's makes it harder for the Covenant to suck you up.

And so, ends a great 5 1/2 year run. You will be missed greatly. May your successors shine brighter and longer.

I remember all the LAN parties I would play with friends, all of the SWAT games, all of the laughter and shouting of joy. Yet, I never played you on LIVE that much. But I got to experience that tonight.

I remember playing Ghost Wars on Coagulation, and messing around with all the glitches and super-jumps.

R.I.P. Halo 2.

GT=PaneInTheGlass

I used to play you so much that I gave you up for lent once. Which brought me even closer to my cousins because I would let them play while I talk to people on the mic. It was good procrastinating on homework for ya in high school and thanks for the last procrastinating hurrah in college.

Oh, and it ain't over, we'll LAN with ya this summer.
