Thanks for introducing me to Multiplayer, and eventually online gaming

I'll never forget the first time I played Halo 2. I didnt even know what Halo was back then (I was in the 5th grade)

My first game ever was on Headlong, and fittingly, my last game tonight was on Headlong

Tis a Sad Day. The Day I will hang up the Greatest Online Multiplayer in Gaming History. Without Halo 2 I would never have had the friends I met through xbox live and the greatest fun gaming experience ever.

I will miss the Brutal hitscan BR.
I will miss BxR. Oh the many situations you've saved me in.
I will miss Superbounces.
I will miss the huge compettitve Skill gap.
I will miss Cat&Mouse Coagulation and Tower of Power on Asenscion
I will miss you Halo 2.

Rest in Peace old friend. You gave me great memories. Hopefully your legacy will live in Reach.

My Krazylegs26 acc will miss you the most.

Thank you Bungie for making one of my most favorite and beloved games.
Thank you

-Krazylegs

In Vino Veritas

I have had a lot of good times and made some of my best friends because of this game. Thanks a lot for the memories.

You made us purchase card after card of xboxlive, but we still love you.
You consumed precious hours of our time all year long, but we still love you.
You humped our lifeless faces after every kill, but we still love you.
You pwned us with super crazy rocket shooting pistol glitches, but we still love you.

Now you're gone, with all your bad deeds, but we will always love you.

Thank you Bungie, thank you Halo for the glorious times I had in your matchmaking. The joy I had in Halo 2's online has yet to be matched... you'll be missed. :'(

Good bye, Halo 2.

I will miss your online days. This was the first game I had played online, I spent hours on it with my girlfriend, and that's exactly how we ended it.

My girlfriend and I played our last games tonight and ended on an awesome SWAT match where we both went positive and got Steaktacs (or would have if Halo 2 counted them).

I will miss the game, but all good things come to an end. Halo 2 shall rest in virtual peace and it shall be survived by Reach.

On a very personal note, I absolutely love the emotional response games can stir in people and I can only pray that some day I can share the honor and pride that developers such as the ones in Bungie share when they develop classics such as the Halo series.

Thanks for all the Xbox matches Mr Halo 2! Its been a pleasure ranking up, staying up late, super jumping, sword flying, BxR'ng (as cheap as it was, its fun), and just straight owning people in such a great game! R.I.P. Halo 2! We'll never forget your memories!

Halo 2 was the reason I bought my first Xbox. I used to own a PS2, but after I discovered Halo 2 I was hooked. Thank you for the good times (and a good share of the bad). You will be missed, but will always have a place in my memories. R.I.P.

Halo 2,

5 years. It was fun back in Freshmen year of Highschool, and it's still fun as a Sophomore in University today.

Nothing compares to Halo 2. The endless fun in matchmaking. The countless LAN/Xbox LIVE nights I had at my house with my friends. Halo 2 is what brought us together to team up and just have some fun online.

Halo 2 started it all. It brought online game parties, a solid matchmaking foundation. Hell, Bungie even recorded EVERY single one of our games (some games today still DON'T even do that)

It it wasn't for Halo 2, I don't think I'll be even playing multiplayer FPS's. You were awesome. You WILL be missed.

Thanks Bungie and thanks Halo 2 for such great times.

RIP

Some people they like get up, and go to work and stuff, right? But that's not very stressful right, they just go to a job... Like y'know I gotta get up and make sure, ya'know that I'm still number one, right? - Pure Pwnage

Good buy to you good friend, let other games learn from what you started and for the love of god one day let a game have as cool of clan/friendlist setup as you did.

R.I.P. For I am not sad, you lived well and treated as all great!

What is there to say Halo 2. How many hours have I shamelessly put into your multiplayer and campaign. How many times did I curse as an infected green player bust through my barricade on Foundation?

A friend I had but now is lost,
you I shall always miss.
From the scarab gun to the lock on doom,
to the stickies silent hiss,
The memories you've created for me,
Shall not be forgot,
The double kills, the killing sprees,
and my very first headshot.
Other games may come and go,
and no more will you be live,
but the moments shared in your world,
in my head they thrive.
So thank you Halo 2 my friend,
let this not be goodbye,
for in my head of dreams and thoughts,
you will never truly die.
