Ah, Halo 2. You were always there. You let me join XBL. You never let us down. I had the honor of seeing the community shape you, as we created gametypes that would go on to be a part of the in the future. All the countless hours we spent utilizing you to your fullest potential. Battling in matchmaking and custom Slayer gametypes.... Butterflying up that building just "one more time", until we finally reached the top and saw that your Golden Warthog was only in our minds, and what a powerful Hog it was. Running around on Relic, shooting stairs with our plasma pistols, getting instant headshots and hearing "Killimanjaro!" over and over again.... So many different memories, and they are all because of you. Because of your devotion, we gave our devotion. I love you Halo 2, you were always there, and now, as all things do, you will come to a peaceful end. We have had the honor though, as a community, to be with your at this time though. To -blam!- you like an animal and feel you from the inside once more, as we so passionately did years ago, whether we do it holding a sniper rifle or an Oddball, an Energy Sword or a bomb....We experienced, we lived.

"People can have the Model T in any color they want, so long as it's black" - Henery Ford.

- You where my first.

My best memories include:

-Working at Gamestop for the midnight launch (and actually sneaking in a quick multiplayer match at 11:45 :-D).

-Going to a CHURCH LOCK IN, which turned into a night of Halo 2 on big projector screens.

-Lugging 4 huge TV's into one room so my friends and I could play together for 22 hours straight.

-Someone in the dorms shouting "HALO!" throughout the halls, causing everyone to scramble to their Xboxes to start a LAN game. This happened a few times a day.

-And of course, last night. The biggest wave of video game nostalgia I've ever experienced. Such a blast.

Thanks to Bungie for making all of these fine memories possible! Time to cry (jk, maybe).

Thank you for not having a single map that was bad. They were all amazing. Also for having a friends list! It was the prototype for the 360 middle button. Rock on

"Cotton thwaps him with the Gravity Hammer, Frankie flies through the air, blood splattering from his corpse, his head snapping back on the ceiling, leaving a bloody imprint on a light fixture and then his body skitters into a gravity lift and is boosted up into the Yellow room."
i love Bungie.

So many hours spent playing you Halo 2. I still remember all nighters. I even made terrible grades in college because of you, yet I still love you. I met some awesome people in your matchmaking whom I still know and love today. Thanks Halo 2 and thank you Bungie.

Good times, countless hours, what more could you ever want out of a game. Halo 2 is easily worth 5 times its release price given how much time I put into it. Bravo Halo 2, Bravo.

This was a truly great game and i'm sad to see Xbox Live support going away for ever. I have many memories of staying up into the early hours of morning playing this game. I made a lot friends because of this game. I miss all the awesome maps and all the good times.

R.I.P Halo 2

50 in Head to Head, Team Objectives, Team Slayer, Team Doubles, Team Snipers, Team Swat, and MLG! Halo 2: 40 Team slayer, 34 Team Hardcore, 37 Team Doubles.

Well, Halo 2 is what made me the gamer I am today. Without it, I would have been playing a wii or something terrible as the such. I am proud to announce I even met my girlfriend in a head to head match 4.5 years ago and we been together since! Met many friends, online and offline, and had years of memories and sick days just to play it! Thanks for the brilliance behind this multiplayer, no other online experience would be as constructive as this one!
