Thank you dear friend, for all the LAN parties, for teaching me how fun it is to play online and even though you wont be able to come online anymore, you will still be played.
Thanks for the awesome ride the past five years.

I <3 you too Bungie

I can't believe Halo 2 is going offline!!! I just bought an elite system because I wanted something with HDMI, and I wanted to be able to play some xbox titles that I hadn't played in years. I'm super bummed that Halo 2 is going offline. I freaking faked being sick in high school, drove to circuit city (which is also gone now...jeez), bought the game, and beat it before mom and dad got home to realize I why I was "sick". I played that game over system link, live, and custom for so many hours it was incredible. Big shout out to Bungie today for making Halo 2 such a BA game. I loved every minute and am sad my memories are going offline with the game. Top Halo 2 memories that will stick with me forever:

1. "SIT DOWN -blam!-! LEARN TO BXR"!!!

2. Custom games at 3am with everyone running around outside the map on Burial Mound, Headlong, and Turf.

3. Sweep sniping

4. The amazing plasma pistol making the noob combo my favorite way to play while too lazy to care about playing hard.

5. Playing a video game with voice chat for the first time.

6. T-bagging angry kids while trying to explain what t-bagging was before they respawned.

7. CTF and Assault on any map. Halo 2 made game types perfect...except for brief periods of people bouncing with the bomb on Burial Mound before they put a timer on the game.

And as my final tribute to Halo 2 I will stop at my top 7 things. Peace out Halo 2. I love you.

Games, friends, memories.

Thank you Halo 2. You have given me So many memmories over my many sQeemish years. YoU have also gIven me some of the cloSest of friends. So mucH will be left after its over. It will just be a memorY. From the zombie matches where people would not switch teams, to the ENDLESS hours of bUilding houses on Headlong(was I the only one that did that?), to the time spent glitChing out of EVERY Known map. Halo 2 was one of the best games I have Ever played and it still remains so to this day. So many memmories will be left. Rest in peace Halo 2. <3 Halo 2.

The acceptance of defeat is an invitation for its repetition.

I may still suck at the game, but thanks for the golden(hog) memories!

"May the Shadows sweep your existence into the Darkness."

I was there for the golden 'hog hunts. I was there for Hi Ben. I was there for the modding outbreak. I was there for the modding community that sprung up to make really awesome custom maps and campaign levels.

I was there at the beginning, and now I'm here at the end. I will send you off with a bang, old friend. I will play the game the way it was supposed to be played: breaking out of barriers, using super bounces and jumps, and of course t-bagging my fallen enemies.

Farewell, old friend, this fight is finally over.

That's so kawaii and sugoi. You should come over to my place and I'll let you nyan all over my ugu.

Halo 2, we may not have had the strongest relationship, but you lasted longer than 2 girlfriends, and you never once yelled back at me like everyone else, except when you showed the booted screen, that hurt worse than the broken arm I had that meant I couldn't play you for 6 weeks.
But I'll miss you more than the Pokemon cereal, man. Peace.
P.S Say hi to Duke Nukem Forever in the videogame cemetary.
