Been playing Halo a long time. Love video games. But how many of you have a higher score in Ninja Gaiden?

-Thank you, Halo 2, for the memories, the experiences.
-For the laughter, the anger, the joy.
-For friendships and support in troubling times.
-For unlocking a competitive and casual nature.
-For changing video games and popular culture.
While Halo:CE was the more balanced and, strictly speaking, better game, Halo 2 holds a special place in my life. At the risk of sounding cliche, Halo 2 was more than just a game- it was an experience.
While sitting on a futon with a headset and no lights playing a video game for hours on end may sound anti-social, nothing could be further from the truth. Halo 2 greatly enhanced my understanding of people.
I told my friends I would get good at Halo before Halo 2 came out. I went from worst to best at Halo because of Halo 2, then Halo:CE, and Halo 3. I traveled with friends to go to MLG, a great experience.
BXR, BXB, double-shotting and quick reloading is not cheating. Superbouncing, standbying, modding, boosting, and bridging is, and for everyone that did these things, have mercy on your soul. But thanks for furthering my disillusionment with the world.
For all the crappy SMG starts and everything else annoying about this game, I still enjoyed almost every moment of it, having some of the happiest times of my life.
I didn't even have to be playing the game. Just jumping around and shooting stuff in customs with friends while talking about life was simply fun and relaxing.
There is simply too much of an impact Halo 2 has had on my life for any forum post to do it justice, but with almost 13,000 matches and 160,000 kills, it is clear that much of my life has belonged to Halo 2.
