The object of war is not to die for your country but to make the other bastard die for his!

I don't know where to start really... as iRose UK put it nothing is as good as halo 2.
I'll keep this short...
Let me start by saying the community here at bungie is the best I have come across and you all know how to give a great game a good send off!. Halo 2 for me was what xbox live was all about and I don't think that even today with all the great games that available that come close to the amount of fun I had whilst playing this game. Playing Halo 2 before it was disconnected reminded me of the good times I had whilst growing up as used to play halo with my friends on link cable and on xbox live. I also met a lot of my current friends on xbox live through halo 2 and i still play with them to this day so for that i am grateful to Bungie for making a great game and lets all hope they can do it again with Halo Reach. For now though i'm going to start playing halo 3 again and I look forward to playing the Reach beta :)

Bye Halo 2 .. You were the best!

If you don't have something Constructive to say, then by all means. SHUT UP and GO AWAY. tyvm

I'm a girl, get over it and move on.

Halo 2 Support!
I miss it so....

Thank you Halo 2, for creating a world of endless LAN Parties with no sleep for days in sight and the best online community of players I have ever played with. For being the only game I will ever truly desire.

All throughout history great empires rise and fall. How you ask?
Two reasons:
1. Economic failure because of either inflation or socialistic programs.
2. War. Their armies were spread too thin and too far from home.

The United States has bases all around the world in "hazardous" areas and it's economy collapses it seems every 20 years. Do you really think that history won't change? Do you really think that you can run the world?

You made Chief wear something nice.

10 years with Bungie.
3 years with 343 Industries.

It's time for that all to change, and to take 343 to the top.
Bungie, it's been one hell of a good run with you guys. It's just time to move on. We'll be together again soon.

Thank you to Halo 2 for showing me how fun playing online can be.

Not to mention those days where all I thought about was "Halo 2. Halo 2. Halo 2. Halo 2." It was a good run, buddy.

I'm going to miss you so much.

Thanx for the great times halo 2. I remember waking up on christmas morning getting an xbox and Halo 2 and playing that first level. I'm doing one last play through of it. And thanks for being the best multiplayer game ever. RIP

Well, I didn't really play online with Halo 2 because of the lack of live but the countless nights with my friend and I going one on one with each other are burned into my memory. The first play through the campaign was mesmerizing. I couldn't believe that such awesomeness could be put into a disc. Well goodbye Halo 2. You will always be remembered.

I will never forget the hours and hours you kept me and my friends up at night, getting out of Headlong and running around on top of the buildings.

Thank you, RIP.

The game that started it all...

It may sound dumb, but damn, I have had so many good memories with my friends on Halo 2 and XBL over the years.

It was, and probably will always be, the BEST game I have ever played.

Halo 2, I <3 you.
And long live Lockout. I hope there will be a recreation of it in Reach.

Dear Halo 2,
I never actually bought you, nor did I ever own a Xbox back when they came out. However the memories of me being at my cousins house playing custom games against him and teaming up on Xbox Live will always be there with me. Although I was only able to play you during two of my summer breaks back in grade school, you showed me how fun FPS games can be, and you got me into the Halo franchise and FPS games in general for the rest of my life. Halo 2, I owe you everything that I love about games now, and although my time with you was short, I will never forget you.

Rest in peace Halo 2, the most amazing game ever made.

Gamers don't die, they just go offline.

"...and the fanboys will unite to slay the Call of Duty threat for the greater good of gaming."

Let it be known that 14 brave Spartans gave their lives to defend Halo 2 to the last kill.

Games, Games, Games... It's What I Do!!!

Dear Bungie & Halo 2

You were the saving grace when I was felt alone and broken when I was on medical leave from work for 22 months... you and my crew kept my spirits up... kept me looking for a cure to my misery. Halo 2 saved me. Thank you! And for that I'm holding out. Holding on to the game that saved my life, the game that made me look forward to the next day... thank you H2 & Bungie.

Dear Bungie,

Thanks for making one of the best games of all time (even if you guys only see it's floors).
It's great to see how developers, such as yourselves, can do so much to make a game as large and awesome as Halo 2 in such a small time frame following E3 2003.
What's also interesting to me is how the game changed. I listened to the H3 Legendary commentary about Halo 2 and heard Jason, Joe and Marty talking about how much was cut from the game (concepts such as Covenant ship, Forerunner tank and Miranda betraying the Chief to name a few) and yet the game still turned about just fine after all that was lost.
I don't know how you guys did it.
It's looking like Reach will be as redefining as Halo 2 was. I hope it will become the same legend that Halo 2 did.

Thanks for the great game,
-Lucas Zadrozny

(btw, if any Bungie guys read this, what are the chances of getting the E3 2003 trailer in HD?)
