Subject: Fix a disc?

So I just realized that bungie.net has signatures and im retarded.

Okay, so I stored halo 3 away for quite some time, but now its the last day to play, and its not working. It is pretty scratched up I'm not gonna lie. I really wanna play some good old games of Halo 2 but I cant. Its tearing me apart!!!! Does anyone know how to temporarily fix scratched discs???? I know its short notice but I didn't find out until just now. :(

And in case you're wondering the problem is when I stick the game in it wont read it, it just says "open tray"

PLEASE HELP ME!!!

RIP Halo 2.

Toothpaste. Seriously. Google it. I've done this and it's worked many times in the past. If it doesn't work, go buy a used copy or something. Dropping $15 at your local GameStop is better than regretting not playing.

You can try what I did to fix my Gears of War disc. Though you should only do it if you are desperate for a fix. I still get some load errors once in awhile but it made it playable.

Get your toothbrush and toothpaste (I use Crest). Apply 4 dots of toothpaste at different parts of the disc. Rub the dots into the disc in a circular motion, ensuring even distribution over the entire disc. Wipe as much of the paste as you can off with whatever you want, I sacrificed a sock. After you get as much toothpaste as you can off, use Windex (or whatever glass cleaner you have available.)to further clean the disc. Wipe the excess cleaner off and let the disc dry.

Like I said, it worked for my Gears of War disc. Aside from the occasional load error, which is rare, it works fine.

Toothpaste works, as does vaseline/any petroleum jelly product.

Desperate times comes for desperate measures am i right? I would get another copy, but theres no time for me to go around town all day looking for a copy of an original xbox game (there are no best buys here)

RIP Halo 2.

Don't use a toothbrush, use your index finger. The bristles on a toothbrush are too abrasive. Spread the toothpaste evenly acoss the disc, and scrub with your finger from the edge of the disc to the inside, making your way around the disc.

Also lay your xbox down flat. I had to do the toothpaste thing also.
