Overall, I had such a great time playing my last 13 games of Halo 2 last night. The only thing I regret is that I only played 5 different maps, though they were all favorites of mine. Very unfortunately, my Halo 2 career consists of well over 1,000 games, and not one of them was played on Tombstone or Desolation. I'm heartbroken over that.

I did end on a good note though. 2 Flag CTF BR on Coagulation (no other map I'd rather finish on). My team won with one score. I didn't score the flag, but I tied for 3rd most kills in the game and had the best kill ratio. My last kill was a base-to-base snipe. My Halo 2 career kill/death ratio ended with a 1.8, so I'm happy about that. Almost 15,000 kills.

My favorite game, however, was Gulch Wars on my last game on Containment. My team won a comeback victory in literally the last 5 seconds of the game. Final score, 100-99. One of the best matches I've ever had. Fun too. I had 20 kills, 9 deaths, 2 suicides and a betrayal that almost cost us the game lol. I took the quote about sending Halo 2 out with a bang literally, because I shamelessly whored the rocket launcher in that game. LOL. Great times.

RIP Halo 2, you will be sorely missed. Thanks to Bungie for making such a kick-ass series. Halo 2 spear-headed online console gaming and set the standard for it.

BTB, Team Duals XTRA on Beaver Creek.

Insanity ensued that game. I might get back on in a little bit to play again before it goes down, but that was the last game I played last night.

Multi-Bomb on Waterworks. The 'Did you Know?' was right, it was a bummer playing it for the last time. But I finished in style: planted all 3 of the bombs personally, and made damn sure I got blown up by them.

Well, it isn't over yet, but here's my story:

I played just about non-stop for the last 6 hours before midnight PST. Ass that time approached (we thought it would be shut down right then), we finished a game right before the Major Nelson countdown ended. We thought that would be the last game ever on Halo 2.

...We were wrong. We got into another game with only about 5 seconds left on the countdown. We wondered why it still let us keep playing, and finished that game.

Since it was still letting us play, we went in again. This time, we found a Bungie employee, and had a nice game of BTB on Warlock.

We kept playing for an hour and a half, fearing that each game would be our last. Good times.

My GT is actually lockepyker - somehow I got linked with my g/f's tag...so that should answer your first question.
Since you're here, take time to visit my file share. I mean, I have beach grifball in there - and you know you want some of that . Thanks!
See you in the rumble pit!

Sure enough - I got to finally play a game with the OP. We won, too.

Well... I caved in! I ended up playing more games. Payed for it with a losing streak of like... 8. So more perhaps. then won a game of Team Duels XTRA again, finishing off with slayer on terminal. We won. That's a good note to end up on as well I suppose. I am content again.

Still going strong! I've got a few more hours to play until I need to get some work done, hopefully I don't get kicked before that.

Well, on my third or fourth to last match, I played on Coagulation for the first time and creamed everyone. It was probably one of my better games.

I ended with a 17-0 kill to death perfection on warlock

But after that I got into a game to allow a match to start for other players, which explains the match after it =]

Lewis Belding: I got 18 people in my hotel! Where are they gonna go?
The Stranger: Out.

Well, although I ended by just quitting out of a game after I died once, I still consider to have ended on a good note!

I played until I was no longer able...meaning that I definitely got the most out of the last couple of days! :-)

I even played your good self at least once...

See, I never had Live until late 2007, so I never really played Halo 2 online. But I did do a ton of LAN and split screen games with my friends. As such, I didnt play much on the DLC maps. So, I wanted my last game on Live to be an original map. I played BTB on Zanzibar, which is one of my favorite maps. We lost, but I felt it was best to go out on an original, so I think I ended on a good note, at least for me. Too bad it wasn't on Coagulation, though.
