Been playing Halo since 2001. I know my Halo.

Halo 2 is, and will always be the only game with enough memories to make me shed a tear after playing my final game.

Halo 2 changed my life, and I'm sure I'm not alone.

It was the base of XBox Live for all future online games. It will forever go down in history as legendary. I will never get rid of it, as the same with all the Halo games made by Bungie.

Thank you Bungie and the entire Halo community for these great years. Twas amazing.

RIP Halo 2. Never Forget. <3

You aren't alone. I'm with you. Some years from now, when Micro$oft has milked all of the money they can, Halo 2 will be re-released and we will have our last Hoorah. Halo 2 changed my life, I love it with all of my heart. It was the reason I bought an Xbox (which broke ;( ), and was how I connected with so many people. Halo 3 wasn't the same, nor Halo 2 Vista, and I will cry myself to sleep.

-blam!- Micro$oft.

Man... You just said it all... Halo 2 holds some of my best memories mainly because I didn't have an xbox until last year. I was always at my friends' houses playing splitcreen with them, which also brings 5 years worth of memories with some of my best friends...

Long live our memories of the greatest Xbox game ever...

Its a good game and all but .. Man up.

"If you wish to make an apple pie from scratch, you must first invent the Universe."

I have played H2 since '04, splitscreen, with my buddies for ages. It's the game that made me into a gamer, and I'll never forget it. I never got live till Christmas of '07, and I spent the majority of my time playing newer games. I wish I could've played H2 in it's hay day.

/sigh

There is only one logical explanation for this. HAX!

Internet Points: 4

I will never forget my first Halo 2 game. Team Snipers on Last Resort. All I could think was "HOW THE HELL DID THAT KID GET ON THE ROOF?"...

I will Never Forget.

Halo 2 didnt just change the video games I play, or the games I like, It changed my entire life.

Halo 2 was the perfect game, and it came to me at the perfect time in my life. I didnt find halo 2. Halo 2 found me. Everything falls apart in your life and then a friend of mine just gave me his xbox and said here, have it. And I havent looked back since.

I dont think there will ever be another game that will change peoples lives like Halo 2 did, and halo 2 is the only game that will ever, and has ever brought tears to my eyes.

I play halo 2 today and I cant even play it. I cant even shoot at people properly. All I can do is run around the maps, looking at the scenery, remembering all of the good times I had playing H2.

So today we celebrate the death of a best friend. A loyal friend.

Forever love.

RIP Halo 2.

Dreams of being the one and only soup that people enjoy. Or wants to be a hero that dishes out hot scolding soup to evil.

Let me start by saying that I'm an avid Halo fan. I loved Halo 1, Halo 2, and now Halo 3. They're amazing games, and I do believe they are art in their own right and medium.

However, are you guys really crying?
Wipe your face, come out of the basement, get yourself a girlfriend and a job, and move on.

You played 117 games of Halo 2.

A very good number round this joint...but not enough to fully understand the loss people are feeling here.

I must admit, Live has never fascinated me. I haven't had access to an internet connection which allowed me to play without massive lag until recently, so I might not know the pain of losing Live if it was your livelihood. I've played hundreds upon hundreds of Local and System Link games across the Halo series though, and seeing as that's not going away I must admit I can't sympathize with those of you who have more than a thousand games on Live.

Even so, I stand by my former statement. The girlfriend and job thing.

I'm always going to remember Halo 2 as the most sociable game ever. There's just something about it where people talk and get along really well.

I've made some great friends last night playing it. Clan support, the original guide menu(which I would like to be able to change the 360 one to for me at least), party system and the players - the people who've been on are the best lot of people I've met in an online game which is unrivialed by anything on the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.

No veto system is a huge plus as well - It's much better that way: You get a gametype, a map and are shown the rules of the game. Noone complains, no-one shouts "veto veto veto" - we just accept it and play.

I'm going to and already am missing this game - thanks for the great game Bungie and thanks for the great games(or matches) people, you've been great.
