If scientists in the year 2554 can fit a shield generator and power supply on the back of one man, why cant they put it on a vehicle? It would make sense to spread this helpfull technology to every military application possible, would'nt it? Why go to all the bother of armoring up a tank and then not put a shield around it? Could'nt somthing as large as a tank or Warthog support a shield generator even more powerfull than a Spartan's?
I suspect its not done for balance reasons of course, but it would make sense to have a shield generator on board.
Maybe, as one of the new features of the Scorpion is a temporary shield you can activate, say it lasts 30 seconds, than 30-60 seconds to recharge. Since every other vehicle has some cool new features and abilities, this ( I think) would be a cool one for a tank. Well, that and making it a 2 person vehicle, one driver with a machine gun, one gunner controlling the turret.
For the Jungle Hog, I think a powerfull spotlight should be attached to the LAAG for lighting up ( pun intended) your targets. It could be activated by the gunner, be super bright and long range. It would also have a limited battery ( say about as long as the Spartan flashlight in Halo) and give away your postion, so as to balance it out. Think how handy that would have been in the 'Halo' level of Halo, when you go to the light bridge in the tunnels and come into that huge dark room.
What are some of your ideas for vehicle features?
