My Farewell,

Does anyone else have a Halo 2 story? What I mean is everytime I play......played, Halo 2, I have this nostalgic feeling of my life and how it was changing when I first started playing. Do you? Regardless, here is my story.

About 3 years ago, I was still a PS2 fanboy and came across this little machinima series online. You may have heard of it.....Red vs Blue. Anyway, that got me really interested in Halo. So I picked up an XBOX with about 20 games and 4 controllers off of Craigslist for $80. Hell of a deal I thought. Amongst them were Halo and Halo2. So I started playing. Played through Halo and was amazed. Played through Halo 2 and was definately not dissappointed. Up until this point, I had never really played online except for a few PC games. Once I plugged in that network cable......I was hooked. Granted, joining so late into the craze which was Halo 2 made it tough to find matches. A lot of players had already migrated over to Halo 3 so the most frequented game types at that time were SWAT and Big Team.

Round about the same time I started playing online, my wife was pregnant with our second child, which meant a constantly tired and worn out woman. Bright side.....more time for me to play. Once our son arrived, I pulled night duty and instead of going to bed and waking up at 1:00am to feed him, I just stayed up and played a bit of Halo 2. I have since moved onto a 360 (and PS3 but it collects dust) and turn it on nearly everyday, more that I should. I play Halo 3, ODST, Halo Wars and can't wait for Reach.

So playing Halo 2 reminds me of a time....not so long ago, when my life went through some amazing changes and I became a "gamer".

Thanks Bungie and Microsoft, not only for the memories, but also the tool to keep those memories alive.

I am Katsu Kage, an assassin trained in the art of stealth. I was on a recon mission when I discovered a blue box hidden among some rubble. Once I entered the blue box it had taken me to a land far away. It was strange and fantastic! There I met PatikaVoom, the most beautiful woman I'd ever seen. She showed me this land, then returned with me to the blue box. She called it a TARDIS and seemed to know how to work it. We left together and have been on many adventures, with many more to come!

I was a PS2 fanboy until I saw Halo as well, it wasn't Red vs Blue for me though, I saw my friend playing Halo 3 and I wanted to play. Then i wanted to play Halo and Halo 2 for the story line but got hooked in Halo 2's online!!
