1)
I face-humped a few people with my, as bungie put it unwashed, sweaty cod-piece in memory of H2. The T-Bagging mechanics were like none other and the humiliation factor is just fantastic. Personally, i feel its a great way to honour H2's memory.
Favourite moments, not many that happened on the final day, but i did get get some Mario style kills, i.e. Jump on them and assassinate.
2) Have the servers suddenly got busier than usual because old Xbox Live is being shut down?
6-7k people consistently on the final day, i think its safe to say that yes, it defiantly got busier. Many people hopped on, the older community who played before H3 was released, and the newer community that happened to have this game lying around. It's a great way to say farewell.
3) How often did you play the game in the past?
Unfortunly, not as much as i should have. Due to a problem with my original Xbox that i overlooked (My Ethernet port bit the dust), i didn't get on XBL 'till i got a 360. 1 year before the release of H3, so i did get a good bit of gaming time in on it.
4) Has anyone gone back to the game after a long time away from it?
Yes, me. I haven't played H2 in about half a year or more. Halo 3, Gears of War 1 (not 2), Street Fighter IV and Tekken 6 have been eating my time.
Another thing that kept me off H2 for so long after Halo 3 was released was the severe lack of players on it. Understandable but it's a big reason in why i didn't play it as much as i wanted to.
Here's to Halo 2, the game that introduced many of us to XBL and the joys of T-Bagging faceless voices for the sheer fun of it.
