I've noticed a few other guides around, adn have been impressed by some of them but have noticed things missing and so on, so I thought I would start my own so that I could share some experience with less able players.

So here it goes...

First off I have seen lots of people asking how to deal with vehicles in Multiplayer Mode. So to start off we have the basic vehicles: Ghost, Warthog, Scorpion .

I'll start with the Ghost. The Ghost is possibly the hardest vehicle to take out for several reasons; it is incredibly quick, has good shields and the Plasma shots basically paralyse you so you can't run away, but there are ways you can take them out. Being far away might sound a bit stupid when your dealing with such a small vehicle but sniping is one of the best ways to take a Ghost out, but it's hard. You can really only hit a Ghost from the back and sides and effectively damage it. Now 2 direct shots with a sniper rifle on someone who doesn't have mega-armour or raised levels of armour with kill that person, aslong as they are direct shots on the person, and not the Ghost. On Blood Gulch the best places are the caves to the left of the Blue Base (when at the Blue Base) and the raised cliffs on the rite of the Blue Base. These two spots provide decent raised cover, important as Ghost can only shoot straight forward, and they can basically see most of the level. Also the Pistol is the next best weapon for long range Ghost hunting, a few well aimed shots to the drivers head will kill them, aslong as you remember to aim slighty in front, as the Ghost will be moving.

However there are times when you will be up close and personal with the Ghost, and this is a lot more difficult, but still possible...just. You will need to use either the Assault Rifle or Rocket Launcher, the Shotgun is also usable but not as much. Most of the time you will confront Ghosts when they are screeching towards you with plasma weapons firing, this is the worst place to be in as the plasma rifles will render you immobile and you may as well die. However I have found that having your sensitivity as close to 10 as you can manage means you move alot quicker and can usually get out of the way. Now when the Ghost is coming towards you, when using the Rocket just shoot right at it, don't try and aim for the driver as it can bounch off the top and go over. I usually just aim straight at it and shoot, as long as your opponent doesn't have higher than normal shields this blast will either kill them or sent them flying, in which case a quick blast with the AR should kill them. If however your unlucky enough to not have a Rocket your in for a harder job, this involves lots of ducking and moving and quick grenading. Armed with your AR you will want to wait until the Ghost is as close as possible before firing, to ensure you hit them with your full arsenal. You will have to either duck if the Ghost is coming over a hill (as it will fly right over you) or quickly run to either side when it gets close, otherwise it will run you down. I usually go to the right and when swerving I throw a plasma grenade, hopefully this sticks to the driver and this usually kills them, although if it sticks to anywhere on the Ghost you have a reasonably good chance of flipping them, and when their flying through the air moosh them with your AR or Pistol. If your first grenade fails all I can say is keep dodging and try to either run to cover or keep lobbing grenades and hopefully get one on. Right thats it for Ghosts I think....

Warthogs!!!! The number one choice for quick multiplayer raids, such as CTF. Difficult to destroy, especially if full of the enemy! The first thing to remember about Warthogs is that its basically a Jeep on steroids, with a mounted machine gun on the back, ezzentially its a transport, not a fighter. Although it does pack a nasty punch (that mounted machine gun can plow straight through ranks of your team mates if carefully positioned and used)

I find that warthogs are a lot easier to detroy than Ghosts, mainly coz they can't go quite as fast, althought they are quite fast. I mainly use the Pistol when taking on Warhogs, because you can actully shoot the driver straight on, unlike the Ghost. It does take more shots than a normal person, obviously, but less than the Ghost...sometimes. When attacking a Warthog try and be as close to cover as possible, a rock or base is ideal as you need to quickly run and hide behind something. The best stratergy I think to fire off half a clip at the driver to get his attention, wait till he drives towards you then run behind your cover, relaoding as you go. It takes longer for the Warthog to turn around than you, so when they drive past shoot them somemore. They will try and drive back towards you, so shoot somemore then jump behind cover again. This is what I think the basic stratergy for killing a Warthog, and followed correctly will take it out very quickly. To aid you or to kill it quicker try throwing grenades just as it goes past, wheels particuarly are an excellent place to aim as they cause the Warthog to flip, but anywhere on the Hog usually causes damage to driver and co. Of course a couple Rocket shots will kill everyone on board usually, but thats just no fun now is it?

Sniping the Warthog is in someways more difficult than the Ghost. The driver is harder to see as they (depending on their colour) blend in to the vehicle, whereas on the Ghost they stick out. However being able to shoot head on means a few well placed sniper shots can stop the Hog in its tracks.

Now onto the Big Daddy; The Scorpion Tank. A difficult adversary no matter what your packing, but aas the old saying goes, "the bigger they are; the harder they fall" and this is true with the Scorpion. Sniping and Pistoling is by far one of the easiest ways of getting rid of that pesky tank, as long as your far enough away. If your sitting right in front of a Scorpion your more than likely gonna get mooshed. However sitting nice and cosy in a sniper hole on the other side of the level is a perfect way to rack up some Scorpion kills and give the enemy a run for their money. Usually you will find that 2 sniper shots to the body or 1 to the head, dead on sniper shots mind, will stop the Scorpion. The same with PIstols; as long as your close enough to hurt them a couple of well placed shots will stop your tank dead. The AR is probably the only human weapon I wouldn't use on the Scorpion, mainly becuase by the time you've done enough damage to kill the driver they will have used the main gun to shoot you...about 6 times. The AR is too low powered and you need to be too close to the Scorpion to use it.

But being close to the Scorpion can have its advantages. The main gun and machine gun have a limited turning arc, i.e they cant shoot close the body of the Scorpion itself. This is good if all you have is an AR or grenades. Mainly all you have to do is stick VERY close to the body of the tank and move when it does. Throw your grenades at the driver and they should die, however since you are so close you often take quite a bit of the blast your self. Using the AR when your in the tanks face is really the only time its any gud, but as I said before I tend not to use it. And as will most things, a direct hit from the Rocket will usually send your driver to the pits of Hell.

So there you have it, my rather long and lenghty guide to getting rid of those pesky vehicles on Multiplayer Levels. I hope this is of some use to some of you and that you didn't die of boredom while reading!!!

If you want any more guides let me know, I will probably be adding more anyways.
