And what is the lesser, mmm? I choose violence, the other one can just mess with their little heads. By the way, I'm not doubting your parenting skills, he is.
That is up to each individual parent to decide - Now as someone attempted to say this earlier I think it needs debunking - Violence - For humans - is NOT natural - not anymore. We live in a civilized world, You can't go down the street punching random people all day and expect to stay out of jail. Why? Because Violence isn't natural. Whenever a poll goes out about the #1 wish in the world, what does it inevitably return to? World Peace. Why? Because Violence isn't natural. Relations of an intimate nature ARE natural - which is why you don't go to jail for being married. That's my stand on it -
A little violence - say a movie or a (*gasp*)videogame are just fine in moderation, So is intimacy (provided it's between people of the same maturity level when they are old enough to make the decision) in moderation. But between the two when they start to escalate- I know which one is less likely to put someone in a belltower.
well the comment about world peace, well im sure bungie doesnt allow me to speak my mind there, so ill just agree its probably true about the polls, but its not my wish. war has been around since creation, and will be here until destruction. and once again i disagree, violence is totally natural, its everywhere in nature. and like i said before, our being too "civilized" for violence is a true state of denial, because no matter how much you say its un-natural, in every humans instinct there lies that attraction to anger and hate and violence, not to actually do violent things and to hate, but to see them, to watch them...I.E., when ever you pass a crash on the freeway do you drive by w/o looking? or do you try to catch that glimpse and see what is going on, that there is a natural mixture of how humans are prone to violence and also of thier natural curiosity.
