Halo 2 is going offline as we speak. As time goes on players are getting kicked from in game and no longer able to connect to Live.
Everyone is wanting to be in the last game and it kills that when you're kicked. I was just kicked as well. :(
If you think about it though, we made it withing the last 8-9 hundred players left and were then forced out of the game. There was nothing we could do - we were all in the last game of Halo 2. We've been in the very last game of Halo 2 already so our task has been completed. Now all that's left is to remember the game and hope it makes a return someday.
People are also talking about recieving stuff for playing the last game of Halo 2. I personally played it because I just wanted to be in the last game but I just thought I'd say that I don't think there will be a prize for that seeing as how it's kind of random. If there is a prize for that then it will be for everyone who stayed until the end. It won't make up for the loss of Halo 2 though. Maybe the prize is knowing you were the last? could be.
Anyway I'm starting to ramble a bit as I've been up for 48 hours straight, playing a lot of Halo 2 so I'm a little tired so I'll just end it with this:
Will you all move on to Halo 3, swich to another game or wait for the Halo: Reach Beta?
Do you think this community(Halo 2 one) can survive without the game or will we just die off?
*and some bonus things to talk about if you feel like*
Do you want Bungie in their infinite wisdom to include a Halo 2 disk with Halo: Reach which will be an Xbox 360 disk to allow us to play online?
What will everyone be doing to spend their time now that a great game has gone?
How were your last games of Halo 2? Enjoyable? Full of Great people?
