GT: BigstickToucan
My old Bungie.net account was created February 6, 2008. Unfortunately, I had signed up using my brother's email account (we then shared an Xbox Live account which was linked to my old Bungie.net account), and he changed the password, meaning I couldn't log in. Thus is why I have this account.
I got kicked on my all time favorite map, Coagulation. With 280 people left.
Countless people have done this, so I figured I will make my own thank you thread.
First of all, I would like to thank all of the people I played with in the past two days, and the whole time I've been playing Halo 2, whether you are reading this or not. You all really gave me some tough challenges and fun, intense moments that I won't forget for many, many years to come. And being one of those final few that fought till the very end just made it so much better.
Also, I would like to thank Bungie (obviously) for making such a great video game. Halo: Combat Evolved got me started on serious gaming, and Halo 2 got me hooked.
It is such a shame that I wasted two and a half years that I could have been playing the great game that is Halo 2 online. Only in the past two days I started playing online, and I now regret not ever playing it, because I missed out on a lot of fun.
I'm almost shedding tears as I type this. It's horrible to see one of the greatest multiplayer experiences of all time dying. Something that was once the biggest thing in the world, is now gone forever. It is a sad and depressing thought, but as the old saying goes, "All great things must come to an end."
This probably doesn't mean much to anybody, but I felt like posting it. To the 250 still playing, keep fighting for Halo 2. Keep fighting for the greatest video game that has ever existed.
As I type this, I'm listening to My Heart Will Go On. Laugh if you want, but tell me it doesn't describe your feelings about Halo 2's death spot-on.
