Subject: *XBOX FROZE NOOOOO*

It was on BTB Matchmaking.

When i pressed A on start game nothing wouldn happen, nothing would also happen if I would switch it to custom games, i had a party of 12 people.

I joined someone elses lobby thinking I would unstuck and I pressed A on bring party and its stuck on Joining game...

I think the other 12 players in my party are stuck on joining game too as I went on bring party.

The words and things are floating in the background so its not totlly froze but i cant get of the "Joining game..."

What do I do?

Edit: GT was TeasingPenguinn on xbox live.

There's only one thing you can do. Pull your plug. Unless... there's a twist of fate...

Bad luck! I had a few moments where I thought the game had frozen on me.

Disconnection comes to us all, eventually. ;)

How long have you tried just leaving it for so far?

  • 04.16.2010 9:00 AM PDT

It seems to me that once you have been connected to xbox live you are connected until you either time out or disconnect. At this point MS has shut off the ability to connect using xbox 1 games. Those who are still connected are safe for now until they decide to actually terminate those connections on their network. So it seems my friend that your ride my be over.

Right. I may have an idea, but seriously don't count on it working.

If I go into my router settings via my PC (192.168.1.1 in the address bar), and click 'save settings', it seems to disconnect me from xbox live very briefly. When I play Halo 3, it usually just cuts out completely, then goes back to normal seconds after (I don't lose connection to XBL, I don't get booted from the game, etc). I've no idea whether this would work in Halo 2. For the record, my router is a Linksys.

Might be something to consider in a last-chance scenario.

edit: also, for the sake of the other players in the party, it might be a noble act to disconnect yourself eventually, in the off-chance that it'll fix the problem for them.

Everyone is entitled to their own wrong opinion.

I'm part of the Bungie.net Minecraft group/server called SeptaCrafters
We're a Bungie.net group that goes to our very own Bungie server. Most players are from the Halo community either off Bungie itself or through word to Halo friends.

you still stuck? if so can you talk to people?
