Thing is, there really isn't a definite end, it seems. Your commitment is admirable, of course, but there's just a point...
Staying on after the shutdown, and then one by one signing off before you go to work or sleep or whatever, would've made sense. At this point, it's just a bunch of guys leaving their Xboxes on while they hold an Oddball and head out to school until they can come back and hop back on.
Our old friend died last night. You're just playing weekend at Bernie's at this point.
By no means am I trying to say, "OMG Halo 2 iz ded get over it," because it hurt me pretty bad too. All I'm saying is at some point it has to end, and you can do it with dignity all at once with a bang, or you can keep bleeding it until one by one you all fall and your Xboxes Red Ring from stress.I hardly played Halo 2 online, and only started playing it online since '08,What the hell.
I was playing it online since 2005, pretty much everyday from 2005-2007 and then still played a lot after that, and still I wouldn't do what you're doing.
It really seems like you guys care more about being the very last person in the game then you care about the game itself.I've played this game offline since '05. I like the campaign more than the multi-player. Its your choice if you want to stop playing it, if you do, then that's fine. But telling others to stop playing because the game is "suffering" is quite awkward. I'm not used to the multi-player, all I had was the campaign and split-screen. I'm used to playing it offline, while you've been playing it online through the course of the years.
