if knowledge is power and power corrupts, isn't knowledge therefore dangerous?

I'm seeing this as more of a militia.
M$ decided to cut the power on this godsend of a game.
LIVE or not I still played it since december '04.
Think not of them as those who are beating a dead horse, rather as those sending M$ a message that we don't care what they want, we want H2 and god damnit we're going to drag this out.
It's proving a point more than anything - people are willing to leave their 360's on, shun their friends, and continue to play until it just can not happen anymore, just to keep the legend going.
Halo 2 was a raging inferno of BR-4 strafing and MLG quad slashing, now it's no more than a dim candle of flag capturing on Coagulation and assault on Headlong, and BR starts on Lockout, in a cold, dark, airtight room.
That candle's gonna die but I'll be damned if it doesn't keep us warm till the end.
Keep going guys and gals if any, keep going.
Just to use this as an example- THIS ^^^^ is a respectable rebuttal. Probably the first in this thread. He ACTUALLY has a counterpoint of it being us vs Microsoft rather than us shredding Halo's dignity.
I'd say that you have a point, but it would've been better if it wasn't in the setting it was. It does not read as an F you to Microsoft, rather a glory contest in who will be last online. People have even been saying things like "if they list all of the gamertags of the last players" as if they're looking for recognition.
Different methods, same results.
Some might be doing for my listed reasons, some for yours, either way their still keeping the good games rolling, one way or another.
It might not do anythign, but hell I can be hopeful.
Hope M$ sees this and goes "gee wilikers maaaaybe this wasnt such a good idea."
But we all know they'll see it, look at those of you still going as lunatic fanboys, and think nothing more of it.
