I tried going into the xbox connect website and my firewall blocked because of spyware. Is the download safe?

It is safe. The alert is likely a false positive if you are using the right site:

I`ll take you with me!

It is 100% safe, the ninjas (mods) have even linked to it and encourage to use it.

I was about to make a thread like this. Do a lot of people play on XBconnect?

  • 04.18.2010 1:35 PM PDT

Yeah a lot of people actually do use it. I have 2 problems.

1) There are a lot of Latin and South American servers. These do not give good pings.

2) 90% of the games are 16 person FFA snipe/BR games, which is fun but gets boring after like an hour.

I can't ever join or host a game on there..

I've made sure my xbox was found and was at the "looking for games" screen, but even when the host or I announce that they've been made, they never show.

I have my 360 connected to my router by ethernet cable. Don't know if that makes a difference..

This is the average H2 Fanboy.
Xfire: JacobGRocks.
50 in H2/H3? Great, but you still fail at this.

Typical xbc people numbers:
50-60 on halo 2, 10 on battlefront 2 with expansion pack, and a few on halo 1.
Most of the people on h2 are in colombia, so it can get real laggy. And then you need to deal with xbox modders, since there are no bans, and "a player in the party failed to load the map".

Posting on bungie.net should require that the user has had to have read a chapter book all the way through.

Yes, but Xlink Kai has more people usably. Just go under Latin America. That's what my friends and I do when we want to play.

Yes. It is not uncommon for AV or adware/spyware detection software to register false positives. There are usually ways to report them so that the software/site can be white listed.

I can't get it to work, either. I know I've used it in the past, but I just tried using it again after Live was disabled and I can't connect to any rooms, and I've tried disabling every firewall I have and adding it to the safe programs list, but nothing.

  • 04.18.2010 8:02 PM PDT

Ok. I think I figured out my problem. I had to install WinPCAP. Now seems to be working properly.
