Subject: Can't get Halo 1 to work on XBC..

I've tried to both host and join, but I can never find a game.

I make sure my xbox 360 is found before hand, and still it never shows the game when I'm at the "looking for games" screen.

Any help would be appreciated.

"People can have the Model T in any color they want, so long as it's black" - Henery Ford.

Did you her about what happen to H2? That applies here also. ALL original xbox games have had their live service discontinued.

Good intentions, child, but you are ill-informed. Halo:CE does not have any LIVE capacity, so this does not apply.

Have you set up port-forwarding on your router to let XBConnect through? XBConnect uses ports 8602 on UDP and TCP.

If you're using a different setup, such as connecting your XBox directly to your computer, then you may need to allow your XBox/XBConnect through Windows Firewall or any other firewall software you may have by opening the ports.

Here's a webpage with instructions per router specifically for XBox Connect. If you don't know your router model, it should be on a label on the router.

If you need any more help please do not hesitate, but please provide more details if you can. I would personally recommend XLink KAI, also.

Get it for the PC instead.

I'm 23, I have a house, dog, girlfriend, job and I have no interest in any fanboyism so if you're thinking about sending me a childish PM, don't be surprised when I don't call back.

I've tried absolutely everything to get mine to work on XBC to no avail, I might just go out and buy Halo:PC again.

I remember I tried to do it on a laptop and it wouldn't work, but I tried on my PC and it worked fine. The main thing is you have to make sure your xbox is directly connected (wired) to whatever computer your running xbc from.

Also what the guy said above me: You need to disable your firewalls otherwise you can't connect.

And I should be more clear, I meant connecting the xbox to a router that is connected to the computer, not directly plugging it into the computer.

Quite frank the best place to buy Office Furniture in the universe!

Could just be a lack of people online. Some of these older games seriously have only a few people on at any time.

I don't think 360s work as well on XBC. I've never tried it though.

I haven't had as much luck with Xbox 360s either. That is why I still have all six of my original Xboxes on hand. Haha. It will be difficult to find people online unless you coordinate with some people you meet.
