I was wondering, because I know you guys get FLOODED with PM's, how often you simply loose track of some of them under the deluge? And how much PM spam you guys get?

You don't have to answer if you don't want to obviously, I was just curious.

This would have to be the one reason I wouldn't like to be a mod.

If I have a legitimate message that deserves to be answered I do or answer to the best of my ability. A good portion of my messages are death threads, I hate you’s, You –blam!- this and a lot of other crap… I usually receive upwards of 20 pms a day.

It is the soldier, not the reporter, who has given us freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who has given us the freedom to demonstrate. It is the soldier, not the lawyer, who has given us the right to a fair trial. And it is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves the flag, whose coffin is draped in the flag that allows the protester to burn the flag.Father Dennis Edward O'Brien, USMC

I get a similar number, but most of them are actual legitimate concerns. I get the occasional "well -blam!- you then I guess I'll just make another account -blam!- -blam!-" from the Ninjafied, but mostly it's people apologising, thanking for clarifications on forums, or asking questions about general stuff. I reply to nearly all of them, and read every single one - that's my first stop when I log in. I think I've only received two death threats since I became a ninja. Which is bizarre, since I used to get like six a day before then.

I forgot to one thing that sometimes shows up in my inbox, the occasional thank-you. I don’t know if I can really speak for all the other guys, but I think we all really appreciate it when someone sends us a simple ‘thanks and good job’.

With B.B. gone, the passion of Bungie.net has lessened.

To add to the questions, what sort of tolerance do you mods have?

Say if someone isn't as polite as they should be when sending you a message, do you guys just blacklist them for harassment outright, or give a warning? I'm just curious.

Surprising. I had always thought you were one of the more lenient ones...

But I suppose you're just doing the same I would do, if I were a mod.

I highly doubt that.... But perhaps I've just missed the threads where you went all-out. Ignorance gets the better of me, at times, you know....

I get the sense that Yoozel's on his last nerve this weekend, and the trodglytes in Zanzibar are jumping up and down on it. LOL. Also, if Frankie doesn't show up for work on Monday, check Yoozel's basement.

Funny coming from the guy who threatened to kill me when I took the sniper rifle. Isn't that right, Yoo*BANNED*

Heh, heheh, HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

My first good laugh of the day.

  • 08.07.2005 10:24 AM PDT

I'll be on my own side.

honestly, i thought Yoozel was lenient, but then again, i guess its because the only comparison i had was Shishka, and, well..........he makes Yoozel look like a pacifist sometimes. I never have seen Yoozel go off. I imagine it would involve flying body parts, screaming and the Banhammer up someones ass.
