Good info and I hope it's true. I just had a thought though that could be possible. You said that he said that approximately 2 months after the game is released, the downloadable stuff will be released. Well if that's true and the rumor of an early release date is true, then approximately 2 months, give or take a few weeks, after August 24th is around late October/early November. So a November 9th release date and an August 24th release date could be possible.

Sorry, Raiden, but unfortunately you're telling the truth. Your friend on the other hand, is not. Why did you beleive him in the first place, eh?

Sounds reliable, but why would they begin working on Downloadable content before the game ships? Last minute ideas and Bungie doesnt want to push the release date back...but still, couldn't they just package it with the game?

One reason may be that the maps take up a lot of space and the have planned out what to put on the limited DVD space that they have, so extra studd goes to the DL content, just an idea, oh and thanx all you guys for not just dismissing the info, and actually being open to ideas and rumors

hahahahahaha the answer, my friends, is $$$$$$ for microsoft. Downloadable content has to be paid for, and that=revenue. As good-hearted as Bungie may be in pleasing us, they have to pay the bills(and then some)

I'm not saying that you were lying. Bless your heart you weren't, but you are telling your friend's lies.

How are you so sure that he's lying??? I'd like to see where you get your facts from and compare the sources (not trying to be an ass, just curious)

In the H2 FAQ they say they can't comment on downloadable content... why would they just let an employee blab about it. I say he is definitely lying.

i dont think bungie is gonna just put the downloadable content in the disk because they wanna have some stuff ready to download. god knows how long it takes to make a nice fair map with all the balancing and stuff. if they put the content raiden is talking about on the cd right away it might be a long time before they make some new maps for download. itd be kinda stupid to have a download feature in halo2 and not being able to use it for a while. even 2 months is a long time. all the people in the forums would just complain

unless Bungie is already done with Halo 2 and the only things that they are working on for the next few months is marketing, advertising, and distribution, and maybe they will start working on the Downloadable Content within the next few months....it's possible, but nothing is sure until it comes out
