R.I.P. Halo 2 11/9/04-4/15/10
If you havn't played Halo 2 online than you are missing so much. Plus if you have played a good amount of Halo 2 online, I might have a better chance of listening to anything you say.

I've said it before, but I'll say it again....
I can understand why people would want to keep playing, but in all honesty can anyone say they are still playing for the love of the game itself??? I've seen lots of hardcore Halo 2 fans who have let it go, because they feel that it should end now...
I may be wrong, but I think most of the people still playing are just secretly hoping that everyone else's Xbox suddenly explodes leaving them to be the last ones online, thus claiming final warrior status.....I'm sure that's not the case for all those still playing, but it will be for a lot of the idlers...
There's no point in calling someone who wants it to end a troll...Loads of people were denied what they thought was going to be the battle to end all battles on Wednesday night, when they expected to go out at the same time as everyone else....
It's not that these people are jealous...they just want it to end so Bungie can get the stats done and put out the rewards, and Microsoft can get on with doing whatever it is they're doing....
You've done well guys, but as I said a day or so ago...maybe it's time to stop? You'll still have the glory...but the longer you stay, contrary to what you or others may believe,I think the less fans you'll have....I've been swinging back & forth on the subject myself, thinking it's cool if you're doing it for the right reasons, but knowing that a lot of people aren't...
I think what you've done is admirable, and one of the guys whose party I spent a bit of time in on Thursday is still playing (Lucky v1)..but how long are you going to stay on? Until Reach comes out?
If you want to go out in glory, here's what to do...arrange for all the players to have a match...whoever comes last goes offline! Elimination!!! Any idlers who aren't able to play then, join the next game and so on....
That way, we'll find the true hero of the last days of Halo 2!!!
I disagree, there is no reason It should have ended in the first place. If I realized how long people were going to continue playing I would have never turned my xbox off on April 16th at 1:00 a.m. eastern time. I should still be there serving with all my fellow loyal Halo 2 players. In fact ever since Halo 2 went down I have barely done anything except watch live streaming videos of people still playing. I dont care about an award, I just want to continue playing. Ever since I stopped I have been sad/depressed.
And dont say "Go play Halo 3" because Halo 3 is NOTHING compared to Halo 2. In fact I would take that as an insult. Yes I have 6000 games played of Halo 3 but it is nowhere near as fun as Halo 2. I WANT HALO 2 BACK!!!!!
