To the handful of players left, is their any logic of what you're doing. Ruining your Xbox 2 weeks away from the Beta. If you keep playing you're Xbox will fry and my guess is soon, then if you're lucky you'll have a warranty. But you gotta wait for repairs, no warranty you'll be out $100 to fix it. The whole reason as to why the orginal XBL is going offline is because the new XBL is streched to the max and the only way to free more room is to cut off the old XBL. So please it's had one HELL of a run, I was their its final night and everyone else was too. So turn off the console put a fan in front of it and wait. You're just gonna screw yourselfs in two weeks if it breaks.

The last standing Australian on Halo 2 after xbox v1 shutdown.

Jorge is hungarian or something like that (more than likely a new race, that a lot of cultures were combined into)

Yes, it is the end of Halo 2. Stuff the beta, the game will be out soon enough. I'll do my best to glitch the hell out of the beta, but halo 2 is far more important.

xbconnect and xlink was what i used before getting on live and it was a huge pain in the bum

I think someone is a little jealous. Plus who says this is going to "ruin" your xbox

RIP Halo 2: November 9, 2004-May 10, 2010
I was the 2nd to last person to get kicked off Halo 2, see the thread Here

Totally worth it. I'll be able to play Reach anytime, this is my last time playing Halo 2.

A Halo 2 Glitch Master, "retired" since i couldn't find anything good in Halo 3, hoping for a come back. I'm a huge Marathon fan too. If you want to verse me, please message me through my Bungie.net profile.
My weapon of choice is the warthog (Driving); I'm one of the best drivers out there, so if i get my hand on a vehicle, you're going to wish i hadn't XD

April 20th I became one of the final 30 people to play Halo 2 online. Unfortunately I was kicked by Microsoft that day.

-Prophet of Truth.

ALSO, original xbox games on the Xbox 360 run very smoothly, like a game installed on the HD. You can't hear the twin turbo airplane engine like sound coming from the 360 with an original xbox game. Less heat, less noise, we all win.

halo 2 still the best game in the series. long live halo 2.

Dam, I miss the old days playing halo 2 with my old brothers in arms. Thank you my old friends for giving me this account, I shall continue our legacy.

You don't need a 360 to play halo 2, they could be playing on the original xbox. And yes it is totally worth it.

I hope the dumb kids get RRoD...shows they shouldn't sit on a game this long to prove a point that will mean nothing. Don't cry on the Xbox forums kids when your console dies.

Despite the past issues with the Xbox 360, it is actually a very efficient machine now, and should be able to easily continue running for days and days.

It isn't like it gets hotter and hotter, eventually melting, it maxes out after about a half hour, and after that the only increase in failure is the fact that there are parts moving for a longer time than if you were to turn it off every night.

Even if it did break, they would be comforted by the fact that they were one of the last few that played Halo 2, and did it to the very end of their xbox, and that is something a Halo fan should be proud of.

Hell yeah its worthet! If I didn't realize I could still play when I played a couple of matches on the 15th I would still ne on! Sadly I turned my xbox off and returned to find out I could not sign in but I learned about the rebels still fighting out there on the Halo 2 battlefields. I support them and really hope that Microsoft reconsiders their stupid desicion(This goes for ALL Orignal Xbox games). I doubt it will happen though :(.

Seriously, some of you need to go back to your high school science classes and learn how heat actually works.

Microsoft is a multi-billion dollar company, if they wanted to they could buy a 500 story sky scraper and fill it with nothing but servers, its not the only way to make space, i think there really just tired of the annoyance of doing service maintenence on origional xbox live. So trust me no ones losing any sleep over the fact were still on and it shouldnt matter to you anyway (respectfully of course), and if it did RROD on me I would be proud knowing i stayed on till the last final moments plus I have 2 360's.
p.s. TylerB stop hating, no one cares what you think

Yes

First, Money is no option.

Second, Halo 2 is dying. It's on life support, oxygen being pumped into it's lungs and blood through it's veins by the people who are dedicated enough to still be playing. (One being me)Sure, I want to play the beta. But it will come and go and soon Reach will come out. Fresh faced and ready to be played for years to come..

But our dear Halo 2.. Once we sign off. Click the green circle. It's gone. Never to be played again. Risking to not get to play something that will be out for years of enjoyment just pales in comparison to what's going on here. If you want to see Halo 2 gone, then go ahead. But I'm not going to give up. I've gotten plenty or red rings in the past. If I get another one for playing the game that got me though high school. Well, that's something that I'm damn fine with.

kthx
