If you're told something is going to scare you and you prepare for it to scare you, guess what ITS GONNA SCARE YOU.
No, you'll be less likely to be scared.
Only true with visual stimulants. Its been proven that verbal coaching actually works when it comes to audio stimulants.
Never have been the case in my experience.
To everyone else, binaural beats are heavily influenced by the power of suggestion, otherwise known as the placebo effect.
However! The sounds generated in these beats induce alternate states of consciousness. While it is still controversial on whether the specific beats in the sounds can induced specifically targeted effects is still unlikely.
It can work for almost everybody, however few people just don't have the brain (literally) to accept these sounds to stimulate you.
Remember:
Stereo headphones (left sound in left ear, right sound in right ear)
Dark area + closed eyes (Cancels out visual sense for quicker trance)
Sit in a position between 130 and 180 degrees on a soft surface
You will probably have to set the volume playing relatively loud (so it envelopes your mind as the only "working" sense)
The hardest part: focus your entire mind on the sounds, and do NOT distract yourself (Causing distractions is the number one problem and is the biggest reason people fail to enter the trance state.)
Entering a trance is similar to entering a very deep daydream, except more vivid and quiet. Then the following sounds, along with the placebo effect, will then result into your mind being stimulated and causing some effects. Sometimes there can be major results such as dizziness and hallucinations.
Not a believer? Whatever, I'll have fun experiencing euphoria, numbing, and OEBs/astral projection-like events.
DISCLAIMER: Yes, I completely ignore the descriptions of the beats, as the result is rarely the same as what is "supposed" to happen.
