you need to "lead your shots", due to the crappy netcode that halo PC still has. Simply aim a little ahead of your target. higher pings require you to aim farther ahead.

yeah, like Mr MA5B said, you sometimes need to lead your shots, but you don't always. if you have a fast connection, you usually don't neeed to lead your shots, but if you have a crappy connection you do need to lead your shots. another thing i find is that the pistol is the ONLY THING THAT WORKS. unless you're point blank. also, it's sometimes better to aim for the torso if your aim sucks (like mine) because you'll miss more than you hit. most of the time it only takes 4 shots to kill someone for me, because i aim for the chest for a few shots, then i aim for the killing head shot. head shots with sheilds are only a one hit kill with a sniper rifle. anything else and shotguns would be able to kill people from really far away, and assault rifles would kick ass like they should. the only other thing i can say is to lower your mouse sensitivity to 1. if it annoys you that you can't turn to face the enemy quick enough, you make a set of keys like 8
4 6
2
on the number pad under settings, and you can look quicker that way. hope this helps.

HOLY -blam!-! I JUST REALIZED THAT I WENT OVER 1000 CHARACTERS! cool.

I wrote a strategy guide last week that should give you the basics if you're new to this game. it's right here

Might help you get started but there hasn't been much interest in it.

Good luck
