I am from the US and I am living in Korea. I bought my 360 in Korea. I paid for my Live account with a US credit card. At first, I changed my language settings to Korean to match my location. This did nothing for me, but others are claiming success. Then I tried changing my location settings to the US to match where I paid for the account. Now I am up and running, I do not know why. Play with it. Mix and match and see what works. Good luck.
