Dude, I reactivated my account just to respond to this :
No this is about who deserves it, and he didn't keep Halo 2 alive, he kept a pregame lobby alive, I can do that offline.

You're being ridiculous, and turning what should be a last homage toHalo 2 into a pathetic little catfight. Nobody is saying Apache played the most games, just that he was the last online. The whole point is he kept the original Xbox Live running the longest, and clearly that's something that you can't do offline. As far as I can tell, he's been fairly even-handed about it, and wasn't harsh on anyone until you popped up acting entitled and claiming that somehow he violated some sacred covenant by not playing with you so much.

Get off the playground and show some respect for a classic. You weren't the last, fine, don't turn this into some idiotic referendum on Apache. The guy kept his Xbox and connection running the longest, and he's getting his day in the sun for that, as are all of the Noble 14/21/wherever you want to start counting. You're just making yourself look small with every comment you post, and it's becoming embarrassing.

You're right I'm embarrassed that people are writing essays to defend something they know nothing about.

has nothing to do with windex.. none of us knew him until the end of halo 2 you've been making jabs at him since it was down to you two.. says something about you. to the rest of us it was about staying on and keeping h2 as long as possible. it SUCKED when people got knocked off. to YOU it seemed like a competition to be the last.

a part of me died every time one of my friends got knocked off

yeah, it was hard seeing friends get knocked off, the ones that played alot honestly apache i think after we hit final 50 i never saw you again. you were an idler for most of the time. I was in the last 20 and I dont remember more than a game with you when we all tried to get enough for BTB but couldnt because of idlers.

A troll wants to get a reaction out of someone, if you ignore it then it will probably go away.

Congratulations Apache.

And to everyone who played halo 2 past the 15th, this is for you; I think it's appropriate:

Call someone a name and it makes what they're saying not be true.

There are no longer any Halo 2 players online. Here are the names of the Final 20, in order of not being kicked off.
1.APACHE N4SIR
2.Agent Windex
3.Lord Odysseus11
4.xxMAKDADYxx
5.DirtyCajun
6.Aforeignobject
7.XXBooker DXX
8.Rob2D
9.MangledRex
10.Z0mbieStench
11.Sherlok 1
12.H20 Shoagie
13.SieferSword
14.Detenn
15.HiredN00bs
16.Xy0x
17.WGL Gonzo
18.Anelf3
19.DeadlyChippy
20.Bond WM

This list is not 100% correct yet, this is just from what I remember, mostly. If anyone can help me make this list right, please do.

1-7 are right, Sherlok was #12, Shoagie was 11, Rob was 9, and Hired was 8. Z0mbie, Siefer, Chippy, and Detenn are correct. Mangled was #16, and XYOX was in the top 20. Gonzo was 15. According to Z0mbie, Bond was 20 but she was wrong about Shoagie and Sherlok so I'm not sure. As there are no other spots, it is safe to assume XYOX is 17. So, the corrected list is:

1. Apache
2. Windex
3. Odysseus
4. Makdady
5. Cajun
6. Foreign
7. Booker
8. Hired
9. Rob
10. Z0mbie
11. Shoagie
12. Sherlok
13. Siefer
14. Detenn
15. Gonzo
16. Mangled
17. XYOX
18. Anelf
19. Chippy
20. Bond?

Hope this helped-Took quite a bit of research, but I've been keeping up with you guys since Day 1, and if not for my brother stealing my H2, I would have been right beside you. So, this is me giving back to you guys. Good job to everyone.

i told zombie about bond and i. at the time 20 people were on and i was in a game with bond and cajun when bond got pwned off live so that makes him 20 and then about 4-5 hours later my xbox froze so 20, 19. there we go.

i also want to go as far back with this list as possible. it's kinda hard though because we didnt really start keeping track until final 20 ish. i'm sure many agree with me that there are others that definately deserve to be on this list

If someone knows if Family Fry or RvBsniper logged first, then we'll have 26 and 27. After that, I'll do my best to track back as far as possible.

Did Windex and Apache ever play a game at the end when it was just those two? After Cajun got kicked it seemed like the other 2 were just playing Reach.

I really have no idea, if we don't find out for sure, I'll just give #26. to Family Fry and 27. to RvBSniper

That seems to be the best course of action. We'll probably have to do something like that with most of the people afterwards since no one really updated individually before 25. Thanks to several lists of those online at the time though, we can get a good range of where someone was. Perhaps do something like 26/27: Family Fry and RvBSniper?

we still need to take people like T0 BE CONTINUED and legendary117 into account as well.

When I looked him up, it showed games from 2007. Guess he wasn't on. Family Fry is 26 then, RvBsnper off the list.

Also, to Chippy, we'd have to go God knows how far back to get to Legendary. He went early on.

Agreed. Though we'll probably have to group some together and say they were in a certain range, like this:

34/35: Hal0 Hulk and Annihil88torr

It'll still be worth it. Good job on keeping the list updated though. Without it, we wouldn't get past the final 15.

Okay, we'll put in the final 50 then. It really doesn't matter if some of the names are out of order, but as long as they're in the thread.

  • 05.11.2010 8:01 PM PDT

Ok, then. Let's just try to find the numbers of everyone on, and post them in the thread. Eventually, we're bound to get all 50, though it may be a little inaccurate.
