It's confirmed a thousand times, there will be 4 player split screen for LAN and Xbox Live. So yes, you can take you and 3 of your friends online with one live account. 64 people would be ridiculous in a game like Halo, although I wouldnt pass up the chance to play that many, I believe I'll enjoy 8-16 people more than I'd ever enjoy 32-64

hmm JK009, then how would you explain Battlefield: Modern Combat's "24 players online at the same time, same game, kicking eachothers ass" feature? ...and im sure it wont be LAN. anyhoo check it out at ign.com or whatever other website you can find information on Battlefield: MC. 32 players i think is too much for the xbox. 24 is a better idea, less people to be screaming at you on the mic

64 people really would be super frickin awesome, i don't know what your smokin but im all out so yea, 64 people on a map 4 times the size of sidewinder would kick ass.

i dont really see how they could do 32 players over LIVE. even on some of the good servers games still choke every now and then. and with halo 2 having so much detail (i.e. vehicles, explosive scenery,etc.) i think it would be next to impossible to do .maybe if bungie hosted their own servers but the xbox is still limited to its obsolete processor.

If they do have 32 player, they better have Freaking hugeass maps so its not respawn and immediately die.

They said that the size of the levels in SP would be 4 times the size of AOTCR. So the MP levels should be big as well.

halo 2's maps are to be 5 times as larger than AOTCR

it would be neat if halo 2 had more than 16 players (16 ppl is getting boring take a look at joint operations it can have 150 players online)

In cs for xbox you can link 16 xboxs because you can only do 1 player/xbox and the sys link on the box says 2-16.

If HAlo 2 did have like 64 players or 150, even though it wont, it wouldn't be Halo. Having a somewhat small amount of people in Halo makes it Halo, otherwise Halo with tons of people would suck, because it would be mass chaos, and the levels would be as big as a single player level., The only way to not make it chaos would be to have like one life and if you die your out, and thats not what halo is about. Its about Fragfests and killing the same people like 20 times on a relatively small map.
