Hey Sketch - I can see that I'm the only one excited about a Bungie Store update. I'm going to check it out, but I have a question:
Why aren't all the action figures/toys sold here? For example, the Battle-damaged warthog can only be purchased in bulk off the web (or via import on Ebay) - and there are other action figures on the toy licensee website which I can't find anywhere. I thought for sure they'd be available at the Bungie store, but sadly they are not.
Some of the action figures, like the Battle Damage figures and vehicles, are produced exclusively for specific outlets. JoyRide, the action figure manufacturer, works with various retail partners to create exclusives that only they can offer their customers. It's kind of a bummer as it makes them very hard to get, but that's the nature of "exclusives."
The Bungie Store will always offer the newest figures they are able to obtain but usually the quantities are somewhat limited and they go very fast. This is why older figures don't remain in stock for very long. JoyRide produces a fixed amount of figures and when they're gone, they're gone. While this also makes it hard to find older figures it does help to ensure that there won't be a point when hundreds of Halo figures are filling up bargain bins.
