There needs to be some kind of screening process, so that anyone that's 12 or younger can't be a member. This is assuming that's possible. What do you think?

That's not really fair. Age isn't the problem here, maturity is. There are 12-year-olds who behave older than 22-year olds on here, it's just not possible to get rid of trouble that way. Plus they could just lie to avoid the age filter.

You have a good point about the maturity thing. And the reason i said it might not be possible, is because it couldn't just be based on clicking your age.

That's what most of them probably did to get a .net passport. That's what I did to get mine way back when. And you're right, it's about how mature someone is. Not what their age is.

It is the soldier, not the reporter, who has given us freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who has given us the freedom to demonstrate. It is the soldier, not the lawyer, who has given us the right to a fair trial. And it is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves the flag, whose coffin is draped in the flag that allows the protester to burn the flag.Father Dennis Edward O'Brien, USMC

And others, like Psyched, act 5 years below their actual age. =P

Though I do agree that it is maturity that should be judged, I will also say that most stupid people on these forums are probably lame-ass junior-highers.

There's nothing wrond about being in junior high (I'm a freshman in HS. Today's the first day.). The only problem is that people don't act their age. Some people are very mature for their age, while others act like nine year olds who think it's cool to curse whenever they can. I wish people wouldn't discriminate on age, but rather maturity.

It was a cold day near the southern base in Blood Gulch. Cortana and I were relaxing over a game of Go Fish, WHEN OUT OF NO WHERE 700 BANSHEES CAME FLYING IN!!! I GRABED MY SPARTAN LASER AND LET HELL REIGN DOWN UPON THEM. I HOPPED IN THE NEAREST WARTHOG AND TOLD CORTANA TO GET IN.

When I joined I was in 7th grade. Now I'm going into ninth. I think that most would agree that I act mature. There should be no screening. If people want to act like idiots while abiding by the Terms of Use and Code of Conduct then who's to stop them? They aren't breaking the rules. I think people just need to get over the fact that you will always get some people who try to spread their misery. Just don't let them get to you and soon they'll be gone.

Your idea will never work. People have said the same thing you have before. Some people are smart and the majority are idiotic. They will bypass any obstacle you lay before them because it deals with age.

Unless you made them give out their credit card information. I don't think there would be many 12 year olds with credit cards.

But like Psyched said, it's not really fair to judge someone just on their age or how they talk. Its how they act.

I first came here before the New Hotness and when halo was brand new. I believe I am mature, I follow rules, and try to enjoy myself, but not to the point were it is bad for others.
