It's "Gashnor", not "Gashner", there's an O in there.

Here's my first ever game of Halo 2 on Xbox LIVE.

This was on my first account (before it got temporarily banned), 4 years ago today, April 27, 2006, my first game on Halo 2 online on my own Xbox. I had played a few times at friends' houses, but never online.

I just wanted to share this with the community. This game's had a history in all of us, it's been an amazing ride. I recently bought Halo 2 PC when the servers for Xbox LIVE died out, and I've still been having fun. I'm running it on the lowest settings on a 2 year old laptop, experience occasional framerate dips down to about 15 FPS, but it's still as fun as I remember.

I just thought I'd share this with the community. Halo 2 Xbox isn't dead yet, and I applaud those who have kept it going. Keep it up, let's keep the Spartans alive.

Pioneer and Enthusiast for Halo 3.

People will continue to complain about the PC version. However, after your positive comments, you may start up something that no one else had the guts to do. Also, I never had XBL before my Xbox 360, so I never got to rock out like you have. I still have had a kick ass time, hangin' out with all my friends offline.

Well, honestly, if you love Halo 2, then you love it. You can't love something, but hate a direct port of it just because it's on a different console. The PC version has no superbouncing and no pop-up textures, which I love. Again, it's a two year old laptop, but I love Halo 2, and want to keep playing it. Besides, we get custom maps on the PC version and better control with a mouse and keyboard. Don't like the mouse and keyboard? There's preloaded settings for an Xbox 360 controller.
