If you look at this stuff....go to a park or something else active
Hey! For all of you Halo 2 players out there, or for any of you who have gotten banned for some unknown reason, there is a way for you to play Online for free. It is compatible with just about any Xbox or Xbox 360 game that you can play locally on.
It is called X-Link Kai. What is it? Read on.
Link Kai is a program that you run on your PC or Macintosh that allows you to play system-link / LAN-enabled games for your XBox, Playstation 2, Gamecube and PSP.
The software is referred to as what is known as a 'tunnelling' application. There are various other single-console tunnelling applications available, but XLink remains the only one to support all 3 major consoles...
A note: It is also compatible with Xbox 360, and Playstation 3.
Here is how it works:
For those people that really want to know, here's a quick briefing.
Your console uses the connectivity between your PC or Mac as a "tunnel". Data is sent from the console, to the PC or Mac, sent over the Internet through XLink Kai to the receiving PC or Mac, and finally sent to the receiving console. This happens in both directions so many times per second that you just have to believe us.
So you then ask, how is my console detecting these games over the Internet? Well these games are using standard Ethernet networks to transmit data. As long as the connection is strong and stable, your console is tricked into thinking the consoles it is connecting to are right there within the same house or building, when in fact they could be sitting 2000 km's away in another continent...
Although, most likely you will NEVER play with people from another continent if you are on the Xbox 360. The Xbox 360 has a ping limit of 30 (although 31 is sometimes accepted).
NO MODIFYING YOUR XBOX OR XBOX 360 IS NECESSARY.
Now that you know what X-link Kai is, here are the requirements:
A PC running Windows 98 or later or Linux; or a Macintosh running OSX.
Either an XBox (360), PlayStation2 and / or PSP
An active broadband Internet connection (56kbps connections may work for some games, but we don't recommend it at all).
A network connection between your console/s and the PC or Mac. This could come in the form of a router (wireless or non), 2 NICS (Network Interface Cards), a wireless connection or even a combination of switches, hubs and other networking hardware (see: 2.0 Networking and Firewall Questions)
An XLink account (your XLink username is your XTag, similar to the XBox Live GamerTag). You can create your account here.

Please no flaming or spamming or anything. Shanks!
P.S. I know I don't have any games logged in as play on Halo 2, but apparently when I changed my gamertag, my Halo 2 games didn't come with me. Anyway, I'm more of a campaign guy :)
P.P.S.S. There are a lot people who use this, so you should be able to find games. Although, it might be a little slow.
P.P.P.S.S.S. I have a lot of these....Anyway, I would recommend not to use wireless with X-link.
