WARNINIG: THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION ANSWERS MOST OF THE QUESTIONS CREATED BY HALO AND LEFT BY HAO 2. THIS WILL REVEAL THE STORY OF HALO 3. IF YOU DON'T WANNA LEARN WHAT HAPPENS IN BUNGIE'S NEXT GAME, THEN DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT READ THE FOLLOWING! DO NOT CUSS ME OUT CUZ I REVEALED THIS SINCE I MADE THIS WARNING TO WARN YOU. If ya wanna thank me go ahead through a message.
I've got the information. The Forerunners are not the past lifeforms of humans nor are they the Covenants. A Forerunner ship crash landed on the planet Earth millions of years ago because it was under attack by the Flood. There was only one survivor who desends down deep into Earth to a stucture buried there, which is the Ark. The surviving Forerunner is name is Cephaus. He activates the Halo rings, killing off most of the Forerunners, but some survived. Earth was not affected by the blast of the rings, but the other planets in the solar system were, which is why our planet is the only one with life in the galaxy. The surviving Forerunners than used the Halo rings to travel into the future because there past was pretty much wiped out. The future they travel to is the begining of Halo 3. Cephaus, the Forerunner survivor who activated the rings remains, and does not travel with the other Forerunners to the future. He watches as humans evolve and there technology increase to this day. I believe the Forerunners have a very long lifepan because you meet Cephaus in Halo 3. The Forerunners travel to the future and learn that there are only two great civilizations, Humans and the Covenant. The Forerunners had control of the entire universe in the past, before the rings were fired, and now since they traveled to the future, they want to reclaim there glorious empire by wiping out humans, Covenant, and the Flood. In the begining of Halo 3, the Forerunners are headed toward Earth. They goal is to take out the humans and the Covenant at one glorious battle. Most likely the Forerunners will have the strongest ability to win since there technology surpasses ours and the Covenants. Miranda Keyes and Sgt. Johnson are in prison on the Covenants home world along with the Arbiter. The Arbiter is put on trial and tells the council and the Prophet of Foresight about the Halo rings and there purpose. He Keyes, Johnson, the monitor of Delta Halo, and 343 guitly spark backin hm up. They do not believe his story, so they all are imprisoned. The Arbiter's son releases him and save Keyes and Johnson and meet up with Covenent who believe his story. Then they meet Cephaus, the Forerunner metiioned in the begining who tells them of the Forerunners plan. Cephaus wants to help defend humanity (cuz he watched and oberserved them for millions of years.) And Cortana learns from Gravemind that he controls the floods actions. Cortana is able to transport herself from Halo to Halo, and Earth since there is a Forerunner installion (The Ark) there. And Masterchief escapes from the Forerunner ship and meets Marines in the country of Kenya (in Africa). He now has a goal of defending humanity from the Flood, The Forerunners, and The Covenant. His other goal is to locate the Ark. The Artiber, his son, Keyes, Johson, Cephaus, and loyal Covenant are now esacping the covenant homeworld, and on there way to Earth to help assist the fight. The flood have esapced from that Covenant Holy City shown in Halo 2 thorough En Amberclad and are on their way to Earth. Now, at Earth, it's one big battle royale: Humans + Arbiter and loyal Cove v.s. Covenant v.s. Forerunners v.s. Flood, all fighting each other, there are now alliances except The Aribter's forces and the Humans. Everyone is on there own, the Forerunners have to take out the Cove, flood and the Humans. The Covenant have to defend themselves from their so-called gods (The Forerunners), the FLood, and the Humans. and The Humans have to take them out. 3 of the main characters die in the next game but I won't reveal who. The other surviving spartans may be there since it is the final battle. That's all I will reveal.
The beginning of the game is a cutscene of the Forerunners (although you don't know who they are at the time), heading to Earth. The Forerunners are an interesting looking, humanoid creature, but their entire bodies and faces are covered in silver armor, so their physical features remain somewhat hidden. They're crashing into a planet, as their ship has been attacked by the Flood, which is later revealed to be Earth. Only one survives, but he carries a code and vial to a certain part of the planet (which is lush and green). There, he unlocks a structure buried within the planet's surface and descends below.
In the first level, Master Chief has to escape from the Forerunner ship that the Prophet of Truth is taking to Earth, whilst it flies through the planet's atmosphere. The ships lands in a desert near New Mombasa, and lands as though it is locking itself upside down. The next two levels take place through this desert area and catacombs below it.
The scene then switches to the Covenant homeworld, Pontiff Quarum. The planet glows with a black/purple colour, and has many holes in it leading down into cities; the actual surface of the planet acts as an energy shield. The Arbiter is shown, who is on trial, being beaten up by an Elite who is guarding his cell, as he has opposed the will of the Prophets. The Arbiter, Miranda Keyes, and AJ Johnson returned to Pontiff Quarum to try and stop the Covenant fleet from going to Earth and activating the Halo rings from the Ark. The Arbiter has been given a hearing in front of the Prophets of the Covenant homeworld, in w
hich he explains the information he has gathered from Cortana and Penitent Tangent. The Covenant do not believe they are telling the truth, and so they are put in prison, even though they have the backup of Penitent Tangent, the Monitor of Delta Halo. The Prophets state that their clairvoyant Prophet, the Prophet of Foresight, believes that before the Great Journey begins, the Forerunners will rise again to assist with it.
Abecedarian is a young Elite who breaks the Arbiter free from prison. It turns out, that he is the Arbiter's son. They travel through the streets and the sewers of the city on Pontiff Quarum they are in. Eventually, they meet up with a group of loyal Covenant who believe their story, and rescue Keyes and Johnson from their imprisonment. They bring them to a port in the city, and the Arbiter takes controls of a Phantom. The last level of this sequence allows you to fly the Phantom over the Covenant landscape and out into space. This is the first time in the Halo series that involves a space-shooter scenario, and it is meant to be great fun.
Next, there is a cutscene of Cortana talking to Gravemind. She learns that Gravemind is the single consciousness of the Flood, and therefore controls their actions. It tells her about the history of the Flood and the Forerunners, and she learns that the Halo rings are more than just weapons, and that the Forerunners are back to reclaim control of the galaxy. She learns that there is also more to Earth than meets the eye.
Back on Earth, Master Chief attacks a group of attacking Covenant, but is badly injured. He retreats to a nearby, surviving part of Kenya where he meets up with some UNSC Marines defending the area. The group make their way through an area of jungle and plains, and end up in a city which is still under siege by the Covenant. They go through the streets and scale a skyscraper. Master Chief gets back down by running along nearby rooftops, and finally arrives at the HQ setup at the far end of the city. This level seems very similar to the E3 2003 demo.
No. 343 talked to the human (forrunner) who activated halo last time (see two betrayels intro again, it makes more since now). Plus all the rings teleporrtation grids are restricted to the rings. It all sounds good otherwise except that that earth was found by the forrunners on accident. The halos have earth landmasses on them and were made by the forruner. This is no accident. Also bungie i doubt (and hope) would never use something as cheesy as total time travel. Wasn't this thread about gphoria by the way?
