My friend Ben is writing a book also but it's about the movie I'm making that is isn't about one forgotten Spartan but two. You should read it, it's really really good. It's a Prequel to my movie called Halo: Forgotten Heroes.

You can read it here. http://www.freewebs.com/showtimeproductions/forgottenheroesba ckstory.htm

I'll be back sometime today, but to hold you over, here's something I wrote in the meantime.
I don't know if it will be included with the rest, or if I will continue writing it, but enjoy...

This Is not Part of the Story- It is something completly unrelated(as of now), its just a short story to read and have fun with, it takes place right before SIgma Octanus Blows

0730 Hours, July 18, 2552 (Military Calendar) /
Sigma Octanus IV, Ground HQ

Private “Mickey” Rooney sat down and wiped the dirt off his MA5B. Next to him sat Private Horton, he had taken some damage during the fierce firefight a while back, and wore a patch over his eye. As they sat, praying they had seen the last of the Covenant, they heard the rumble of a Warthog’s Engine. A smile cracked on Horton’s face, and they scanned the area, looking for the backup they had called for as the Covenant’s attack began.
A single Warthog rumbled passed the shellacked guardhouse, and rolled to a stop in front of the two men. As Horton went up to talk to the Corporal manning the Gun, Rooney hurried over to alert the others that backup had arrived. Normally Rooney wouldn’t consider four men, one seriously wounded, backup, but these weren’t normal times, and every man counted.
As the men emerged from the fiery armory, Rooney bellowed out instructions.
“All right, listen up! We got new wounded, but we got backup, too. Not much, but it’ll help. Get what you can out of there, and then we’ll set up a defensive position.”
As the Marines signaled their acknowledgment Rooney headed back towards Horton.
The two men followed Corporal Harland into the bunker, Rooney took one last look at the fiery remnants of the HQ, gave a thumbs-up to the two men manning the Warthog’s turret, and slowly entered the recess of the Bunker.
“So, what happened?” Horton asked the Corporal. Harland went on to explain their “milk run” gone awry, and then the cat-and-mouse game they played with a pair of Banshees.
“And you guys?” Harland added, after he was done.

0400 Hours, July 18, 2552 (Military Calendar) /
Sigma Octanus IV, Ground HQ
The covenant had been pouring into the Base for three minutes since their Wraith’s barrage had stopped. Horton aimed his S2AM sniper rifle and pulled the trigger. Rooney watched the vapor trail rise into the air as a jackal fell to the ground. Rooney proceeded to take aim at a pack of grunts and open fire. The short bursts from his MA5B tore the disgusting animals to shreds, and pivoted to take aim at a new target. The alien stood hunched over, and was roughly the size of the water buffalo he stood next to. He held a massive shield in one hand, and the other was seemingly attached to his over-sized plasma weapon.
Rooney fired on the alien, but the rounds bounced of its thick blue armor. After emptying a clip into the alien, it finally took notice and aimed its glowing arm at Rooney’s position. “Incoming!” He shouted as he grabbed Horton and pulled him down. The Plasma washed over them, and Rooney began to sweat as the temperature spiked. He watched as Horton jumped up, took aim at the fleshy orange patch on the alien, and brought him down with two successive rounds.
Horton discarded his empty clip, and reloaded the weapon. He took aim at the enraged alien that had appeared after taking down the first. He disposed of him the same way, and signaled to Rooney it was safe to come up.
Rooney began to pick off another group of grunts, when a blue streak stopped just short of their position. He yelled at Horton to move, but it was to late. Horton took aim down his scope, fired, and then felt the blue wave expand until his face felt like it had melted off. The force of the explosion knocked him back on top of Rooney, who rolled over and examined his friend’s mangled body. The Marine’s armor had taken most of the damage, but his exposed face was horrifically scarred, all, save his right eye, which had been protected by his scope.
Horton screamed in agony, and Rooney dragged him back to a safer position. He called over a medic and then went back to work, picking off any Covenant that strayed too close. He began to reload his rifle, when two grunts turned a corner, and appeared three feet in front of him. Rooney picked up his MA5B, and swung at the first grunt. It sent the alien’s Plasma pistol flying, but the second Grunt took aim and fired. The shot was wide, but it grazed his side and Rooney flinched. The first grunt jumped on top of him, and the second followed suit.
As they attempted to tear him to pieces, Rooney unholstered his standard issue combat knife, and cut into the Grunt’s methane supply. The Alien clutched its throat, and then keeled over. The methane began to take its toll on Rooney, and he began to sputter, and the second Grunt charged. The alien stopped dead in its tracks, as a telltale vapor trail rose into the air. Rooney turned back, and Horton managed a mangled smile.

aaaahhhh...finally something that has, in a way, relinquished my thirst for more...it is a bit more graphic than The Forgotten Spartan, but still I like the way that one was going...how was the trip?!? It's almost halfway through the week so we can try and hold off for the end of the week like Rainman had predicted...but if not then I guess I can read the entire Forgotten Spartan all over again for about the fifth time...good luck and until next time.
