Subject: Enemy Lock On Targets - Halo CE Problem?

Pioneer and Enthusiast for Halo 3.

Halo Combat Evolved is a amazing game, and even more so for the PC! I've noticed that a while back, even on my original Xbox with splitscreen, and even campaign that their is a serious issue.

The issue is non Enemy Target lock on for the cross fire. When the cross fire turns read, it should at least lock on by 20%. It does nothing.

This is not a issue for Halo 2, which is a good thing, because it makes things a lot easier for the use of Battle rifles.

So, has this issue affected your gameplay?

Yes, I am a hypocrite, and I'm sorry. I really do mean well, but I'm not running on all cylinders.

Everytime someone buys a copy of Halo 2 Vista, a puppy dies.

Non-enemy? You mean trying to shoot at allies? Trying to figure out what you mean. There is no aim-assist for friendlies.

If you're saying you don't get the aim assistance in campaign, I'll relate my experience. On Xbox in single player mode and split-screen the game partially aims at enemies for me, which is normal. In Halo PC the game never assists aim.

If this doesn't help, maybe you could clarify what you're saying.

Yeah. That's right. I don't have a 50 in H3. I never got Onyx in Reach. If a game sucks too much, I won't even bother trying for such trivial "accolades". Besides, I've done way more things that take far more skill and talent than anything that can be done in a video game.

It hasn't. Because I can aim for myself.

Well, i don't like bots to aim for you. Because it is destroying your expirience with game.

So, here we have the OP who loves backstabbing allies,
he wants to be able to do it more efficiently and quickly, with Auto-aim.

well heres the thing, no such betraying AA has been implemented in any Halo games,
common knowledge would say, no game would be retarded to include this.

lol. xD

I always offer fair game and usually allow some "extermination" of my teammates. I think that anyone should be able to play Halo or any other game they please.

Fail.... It is A.I., not AA and it is sometimes fair to kill teammates, like if you are running out of ammo

Hehe, I just play with a controller for H2V :D I've become too used to console games, I can't play with a mouse and keyboard now :'(

As for autoaiming your friend, just no. Besides, you'd probably waste more ammo trying to kill them than what you would gain from their corpse.

50 in H2/H3? Great, but you still fail at this.

It is not a issue, it is a feature. The PC port of halo 1 doesn't have it, since the mouse is more accurate then the controller.

most PC FPS's don't have aim assist because of this.

No, I'm implying that PC gamers have balls because we don't need magnetic aim assist or ridiculous hitboxes. We can get our headshots ourselves.

I don't see a reciprocate fairness here. You're the kind of team-killing garbage I always enjoy to pistol-whip over and over again, however ironic that is read and/or understood.

Lock-on makes the game too easy. That's why Halo 3 wasn't very pro. Because of this, I'm assuming you are a Halo 3 player and you haven't played Halo 1.

A long time ago, I used to play Halo multiplayer. I was very good with the sniper rifle. People told me on that chatting thing that I was using a aimbot yet I never have used a aimbot in my entire life.

Hey, you gotta do what you gotta do to win the war. If that means sacrificing a few marines... so be it.

Just not Johnson.

Disgusting. If you don't want to follow the rules don't bother other people with your presence.

lol I see two different interpretations going on here.

I believe op is complaining that there is no (non) locking onto enemies. No mention about friendly fire.

Actually halo 1 pc does have "locking on" which you can see most readily with weapons that have a high magnetism value. I think the highest is the covenant gunner seat, the thing practically aims for you.

  • 05.12.2010 4:58 PM PDT

Grenades are like RAM, you can never have too much

the one thing is
bullet magnetism does go at teamates and enemys

go take a shotgun and fire just a little left of your teamate, look where the bullets group now do it without someone standing there :\
